Comprehensive support and assistance with performance of the procedure for the company’s staff reduction of employees working “distantly” (from home) in one of the Russian regions which included preparation of the plan and a set of documents for the staff reduction, provision of advice on the employees’ notification on the forthcoming reduction taking into account their “distant” character of work as well as communications with the employees. Legal advice on a quite specific labour and employment law matter related to a seamen (including foreign seamen) working on a vessel sailing under the state flag of another country and which was supposed to perform its activities and works with multiple Russian Federation state border crossings in the sea and performance of movements both outside and within the 12 nautical mile zone of the Russian Federation.

Danone

Internal restructuring of a Danone subdivision. The project involved developing a strategy for and implementing staff reductions and redundancies within the company. Employment relations were terminated or changed with over 150 staff members based in Moscow and St. Petersburg; a corporate strategy was elaborated for negotiations with trades unions.

Bunge CIS

Successfully acted for the client, protecting its interests in court with respect to a claim for reinstatement and recovery of compensation. The case was a complex one, involving a distance worker, extensive use of electronic document turnover by the company and significant sums claimed.

One of the largest cosmetics selling company

Provision of legal advice and consultations on labour and pensions issues associated with integration and implementation of the international long-term incentives plan for the top-level sales force in Russia.
