Groundbreaking of GBC Library/Classroom Building

Launch of Library/Classroom Building Capital Funding:

We have a very special and rare opportunity to (literally!) get in on the ground floor of making this building come to life through our prayers and financial gifts.

The cost to build the building is $85,000 and we are asking that you pray with us for the Lord to move hearts to bring this amount in quickly. To donate, go to our website, under the “Donate” button select “GBC Building Fund.” You can also mail in your check to the address on page 4.

India - Under beautiful clear skies on February 6, we held a very special ground breaking ceremony for the next building of the Grace Bible College campus; the library and classroom building. This is a very important next step for this campus because, first, it will provide a home for the over 15,000+ books waiting in California to be shipped to India.  Second, this will give the students access to this library to help them in their studies at GBC.  Third, this will take us one giant step closer to accreditation status with the Asian Theological Accreditation (ATA).

It’s hard to believe that just a year ago this month, we held the dedication ceremony for the Memorial Chapel and shortly after that, the boys’ shipping container dorms, bathroom block and the dining hall building went up. We are so very, very grateful to those who have prayed for and given to these vital projects. You are ministry partners in the truest sense of the term. We aren’t making this campus for any other reason than to train young men and women in India as future leaders to be well equipped to share the eternal hope found in Jesus Christ.

There are 55 students on the campus using every facility daily and it’s truly heart warming to observe as Dee and I and our team are here this month for the graduation ceremony and the Winter Teaching Module.  Soon, we will be able to increase the student body as more facilities are completed to meet needs of the students and faculty. Please pray with us for the $85,000 needed to complete this building.

Library Cataloguing Project: We’re excited that a seasoned librarian who has catalogued over 33 international ministry libraries has agreed to lead this project. We’re putting together a project proposal, including a budget, for what it will take to prepare the books for use by the students. This would make a great project for younger children, schools, businesses and Sunday School classes to jump in and get involved in. We'll post the info on the website under “India: Library Cataloguing Project.” Dr. John Cook, CEO

IM GBC 2016 Winter Teaching Module

Beautiful International Women’s Conference, India

We are very grateful to our great team who taught the students at GBC for the Winter Teaching Module. Top left, Dr. Phil Bairrington, from CA, taught “Lectures in Natural History;” top center, Rev. Robert Jones, from LA, taught “Spiritual Disciplines;” top right, Rev. Tom Griffith, from CA, taught “Biblical Counseling;” and below right, Dr. Dan Iles, IM staff, taught “Bible Study Methods.” Below left, Dr. John Cook, IM CEO and Tim Bentley, IM staff, shared in chapel services and evening devotions. The students enjoyed the wisdom and insights brought by these qualified men and we thank the Lord for their hearts for Him and for ministering to these young Bible scholars.

India - What a joy it was to see almost 100 women gathering together on February 13 as we focused on warm fellowship, good food, a craft and Biblical teaching. I’m so very grateful to Linda Iles who shared on “Prayer Journaling” and Marilyn Griffith who gave insights into “Waiting on God.” My sessions were centered on “A Love to Help You Win," on I Corinthians chapter 13. Very special thanks to our team here in India; Mercy, Grace, Mary, Nancy, Rev. Ingole and Rev. Mohod and others who labored to make this day the success it was. We were in the new GBC chapel and dining hall facilities which was so exciting! A number of the women in the group photo are in ministry as they faithfully serve women and children with the love of Christ; please pray for these women. I’m so grateful to our prayer and financial sponsors who partner to empower this ministry to women! - Dee Cook, Director, Beautiful International

Jordan - Thank you! Because of your prayers and donations to Indigenous Ministries’ Beautiful International

Women’s Ministry, we have been expanding our reach and are now helping women and children in Jordan who are in extreme need. These are Syrian and Iraqi refugees fleeing to Jordan for safety from ISIS. Almost 10 years ago we as a ministry donated an ultrasound machine to this clinic; and now we have the privilege of working together once again. We are partnering with our team there to give women and their families medical aid, counseling, food, clothing and training in nutrition and health. They hear of the love of Christ from our teams as they come for help. You are making a difference! - Dee Cook
