Hello all, my name is Crystal Espinosa and I'll be serving Glen A. Wilson as club president for the 2015-2016 term. I'm so grateful for all the love and joy this club has brought me in the last two years and I'm excited for my last year with all of you. So let’s have a great
start to this new term! #2termz
Meet Your 2015-2016 Cabinet!
Hi guys and gals! My name is Bailey Lu and I'll be your Vice President for the 2016-2016 term. I hope to inspire and create lasting memories
for my fellow members as we attend service/volunteering events and social events!
Hi! My name is Melanie Yu, and I’m the treasurer of GAWHS Key Club! After attending ICON last summer 2014, I was amazed by many of the incredible Key Clubbers I met there. Because of them, I want to be able to better serve my club, community, and Kiwanis during my second term as
treasurer. Key Club has taught me to cherish every moment of high school, and it is an absolute honor to be working with such brilliant members to make the world a better place.
Hello! I'm Joshua Tong and I'll be your Tech Editor for 2015-2016. My hobbies include basketball,
football, and eating. Key Club gave me things that I didn't expect, such as the amazing memories and my new friends. I hope to give back to Key Club and do my best as Tech Editor.
Hi! My name is Chris Hu and I am a junior.
For the 2015-2016 term, I will be the
secretary of Key Club. Aside from Key Club,
I have competed in the swim team for the
past two years and am also on the varsity
water polo team. My goal in Key Club is to
create a lasting impact on the world. Since I
love to socialize with people I have not met
before, I plan to achieve my goal by
interacting with the people around me and
giving to those in need.

Hi there, my name is Cameron Joh and I'm the historian for Glen A. Wilson Key Club. I joined Key Club this year as a freshman and it has been an amazing experience, through all the service events and spirit gatherings. I hope to give much more back to my club in any way I can, and create tons of memories in the process!
Hey Key Clubbers! My name is Brianna Chang and I will be your News Editor for the 2015-2016
term. I'm excited to serve you all by creating newsletters and recording our invaluable club memories. Through the articles, I aim to motivate others to participate more at club events and willingly contribute to the community. Key Club has offered me new experiences, kind friends, and the desire to positively affect others in the same way. As I
mature from each new experience with Key Club, I also want to support the group's development as a leadership and service organization.

Hello Key Clubbers! I'm Angella Hwang and I am proud to serve as the head of the fundraising committee. My passions in life include being active in archery, playing the piano, and of course, committing myself in Key Club. I ran for this position with the intention of wanting to help strengthen not only our school club, but also our community as a whole in all the ways that I can. I hope to end my high school career
knowing that our hard work in serving the community and school has paid off well.
Hello Key Clubbers! My name is Min Wong and I will be your Service Project Coordinator for the 2015-2016 term. This year I hope to create new (fun) service events and increase the community service participation in our home club. Let's make this year the best year Glen A.
Wilson Key Club has ever seen.

Hello everyone! For those who may not know me, my name is Jeff Yee and I am a sophomore at Wilson. This is my first year in key club and I love it so much already. I am also this new term’s head of the publicity committee for our one and only Glen A. Wilson Key Club. I hope we can have many late all-nighters making materials for the annual Fall Rally, DCon, and
other events. Thank you all for having me in cabinet!
Hi, my name is Joy Luc, and I will be serving as your Spirit Leader for this year. I will try my best to make this year one of the most memorable. I was part of the Fundraising Committee last term, and I'm hoping now that I can contribute more to the club. Some things to help get to know me better are that I love to cosplay. I hand-make all my costumes and props. I am super interested in art , design, and gaming. I’m super friendly, so you guys should come up and say hi.
Hi! My name is Priscilla Cahyono
and I'll be serving you as your Spirit Leader! I hope to make a positive impact on our club. To get to know me better, I like to hang out with my friends, have food adventures, read books, and listen to music.

Our DLT!
Hello everyone! My name is Dylan Tran and I am serving as one of your 2015-2016 Executive Assistants for the DLT and also one of the Vice Presidents for Glen A. Wilson Key Club cabinet. My hobbies include Key Club, attempted rapping, and biking. I ran for this position because I wanted to make a bigger
difference and to hopefully become an inspiration to everyone that I meet. I want to start the year strong and end the year stronger.
Hello Seals! The new term has
officially started! It is such an
honor to serve you all for the
next 13 months! I look forward
to meeting you all. It has been
my dream to serve you as your
Lt. Governor since my
freshman year. I would just like
to thank you all again for giving
me this opportunity. Have a
wonderful day!
Hey Key Clubbers! I'm Felicia Kuo
and I will be one of your executive assistants. Just to get to know me a little better, I like Kdrama, drawing, and helping others. I ran for this position because I wanted to help the LTG and the division in any way I could. Key Club made an impact on my life. It brought me out of my little shell when I was too shy to talk to others. Key Club encouraged and gave me
opportunities to help others and to do more for the community. The club also gave me a lot of special memories to keep forever. I will always be thankful for everything Key Club has done for me.
Hey guys! My name is Amber Tai and I will be serving you as Spirit Task Coordinator in the DLT and Service Task Coordinator in Glen A. Wilson Key Club for the 2015-2016 term. My goal this term is obviously to help the division win the spirit stick, but also to inspire others to become involved and take advantage of everything Key Club has to offer. On top of helping the division win the spirit stick, I will also be organizing fun service events. Key
Club has made such a large impact in my life and showed me how amazing it feels to give back to the community with service events. With every service and spirit event, my love for Key Club only grows.

My First DCON This March was the 69th District Convention for the
Cali-Nev-Ha district. This year's DCON was especially
significant because it was the 100th anniversary of
Kiwanis, and the 90th of Key Club International. I was
one of the few freshmen that attended, but I do not
regret it in the slightest. The theme for this year's DCON
was "Celebrate CNH", and that's exactly what we did.
Massive celebrations greeted me with every day of being
a part of the event, and it made me feel that this is what
Key Club is all about. The overwhelming support and
service put in by all the divisions and their clubs really
showed me how being a part of this club can impact my
life and everyone around me. I look forward to many
service and spirit events in the near future!

to thank me. That
makes me feel great,
knowing that I am
influencing at least one
person.
That day, my group
collected 433 cigarette
butts— which equals to
the $4.33 that our
Kiwanis LTG, Mahmood
Bashir, will be donating
to our school.

The Monthly
Clean-Up
It was the time of
the month again, Adopt-A
-Highway! On April 4,
2015, I, along with other
Wilson Key Clubbers,
participated in cleaning a
stretch of the road.
While others began
cleaning right away,
I had the opportunity
to go clean Colima
road. Equipped with
a grabber and trash
bags, we started.
From the fast food
bags to the recurring
cigarette butt, I found
that many people still
litter month after
month. It does make
me disappointed that
people would pollute
their own community,
but I am glad that
organizations such as
Key Club are stepping
up and acting against
it. I am glad that
some people take the
time out of their day

April DCM
On Saturday, April 11,
2015, Kiwanis One Day was held
at the Hacienda Heights
Community Center. While the
members of Glen A. Wilson Key
Club volunteered at the event,
they also held the monthly
divisional council meeting from
10 AM to 11 AM. Before official
business began, we played some
ice-breaker games to alleviate
discomfort and tension. Our Lt.
Governor Austin Ly introduced
two special guests, Mahmood
Bashir, the current Division 35
Kiwanis LTG, and Cheri Lee, the
Key Club advisor for Arroyo High
School. Bashir passed out pins to
those who attended the D35
West meeting as a gift for our
tireless devotion to the
community. Next, Austin
talked about the
division banquet plans, the Ronald
McDonald Pop-Tab, the March of
Dimes, a possible volunteer event at
a food bank, and Kiwanis One Day.
As a reminder, please collect pop-
tabs from soda cans and bring them
to Austin to support a good cause!
Once announcements were
finished, Austin awarded “Club of the
Month” to Sierra Vista High, “Officer
of the Month” to Johnny Flores, and
lastly, “Member of the Month” to
Amber Tai. Congratulations to those
who earned the awards!

A Day Dedicated to Service
At the Hacienda Community Center on Saturday, April 11, 2015, there was an annual event in which non-profit organizations set up booths
to make the community aware that financial, medical, and personal help is available. Kiwanis One Day is the single day of the year when the Kiwanis clubs from around the world gather and do one day of full community service. This was also a help-and-resource fair, so generous sponsors provided the supplies needed to give out to the kids that are underprivileged or have low income. We passed out shoes, books, and school supplies. In addition, the Kiwanis Club grilled and sold hotdogs to help the Mesa Robles Middle School Robotics team with their funds to travel to nationals. Fortunately, many students from nearby high schools came to the Hacienda Community Center to volunteer in this event. Some
went to set up canopies, make pancakes, lay out books, and offer help to people. After everything was set up and ready to go, Anna Wu, the president of the Kiwanis club and the soon-to-be chairwoman of Kiwanis, made some announcements and handed out awards to the sponsors and the non-profit organizations. These sponsors and non-profit organizations are very much appreciated for everything they put in for this event. Their donations of kindness influence our community in a positive way. -Felicia Kuo

A Final Bark from the News Editor Hello friends! I hope that you enjoyed reading this newsletter!
This is the first official newsletter that I have ever created, and it
was both fun and stressful, but worth it. I’m especially honored to
have the opportunity to create the first newsletter for Glen A. Wilson
Key Club! In order to assemble a comprehensive newsletter, I was
fortunate enough to rely on the help of the wonderful friends in our
club. I want to thank Key Club for the experiences and new friends it
has offered me. I hope that this newsletter inspires others to push
away their fears and pursue what they truly want. This newsletter is
filled with examples of leadership, kindness, responsibility, good will,
spirit, and service. The end of the 2014-2015 school year is almost
upon us, so let’s make the last moments count!
