Every cargo tank is equipped with domes in which all the piping penetrations, thecargo pump and manhole access to the tank are installed. In the external part, at theinterface with the deck, the tank shall have a gastight membrane constructed frommaterials suitable for the operations of the ship. This interface is protected with asteel cover for mechanical protection.
