This latest GT24 upgradeisbasedonavalidationprogramstartedin2009,andprovendesigntools,bothusedforthedevelopmentofthegasturbine’skeycomponents:COMPrEssOr | higherbase-load&part-loadperformanceThecompressorupgradebringsanincreasedoperationalflexibilitywith4variablevanerows.Thecompressorwasvalidatedinascaledtest-riginordertogainafullcompressormapovertheentirespeedandambientrange.

sEV-BUrNEr | LoweremissionsTheoptimizedsecondcombustorallowsabettermixingofthefuelandmoreefficientcombustionresultinginloweremissions,withwiderrangeoffuelgascompositions.Themodificationsweresuccessfullytestedinahigh-pressuretest-rigunderengineconditions.Theinstrumentationonthetest-rigcontainedmorethan500measurementlocationsfortemperatures,pressures,acoustics,emissionsandflamepositioning.
