Senior Consultant – Mansion House Consulting June 2013 – Present

Project: Programme Governance Framework (PMO)Product Manager and Lead Developer to build a Programme Governance Framework using an Agile methodology. The solution is built using Microsoft Office, VBA and SharePoint solutions and helps Programme and Project Managers to manage, track and report on large programmes of work. Responsible for the product vision and strategy creation and maintenance of the product backlog; guided by client feedback, project management best practices and competitor analysis. Leading and coaching a small team of Developers and Business Analysts. Implemented a GIT source code management and built a process to centrally manage the VBA codebase.

Eight releases successfully completed over a 2 year period Multiple client implementations completed with a reported timesaving of around 40% per week

Project: Process Improvement and Management ReportingUsed an Agile methodology to deliver multiple streams of work related to process Improvement for Mansion House Consulting. Responsible for creating and maintaining a project plan in Microsoft Project to track key deliverables and dependencies. Ownership of project governance data including RAID and action logs, Stakeholder lists and Meeting Management. Designed and developed automated status reporting; presented at Management Steering Committees. Gathering and documented requirements in the form of user stories and translated these into technical solutions. Created user stories and UML artefacts including use cases, class diagrams and activity diagrams.

Senior Business Analyst – HSBC Securities Services July 2009 – May 2013

Project: Management Information PlatformUsed an Agile methodology to create a Management Information Platform to track the usage of various e-commerce tools. Managed the product backlog, creating scenarios, user stories, use cases and acceptance tests. Reviewed and challenged estimates. Wire-framed the layout and key features.

First release completed in a three month timescale. The platform has been used by senior management teams and the e-commerce programme sponsor to drive

the direction of future projects.

Project: Client MigrationsUsed a Waterfall methodology to deliver multiple Client migrations, providing new software to replace legacy tools. Led multiple business analysts to perform full end to end migrations. Managed the migration schedule for each migration and the communications to Clients and internal teams. Created user guides, training and marketing materials for the new tools. Extracted and manipulated production data using Microsoft Access to prepare for the migration. Managed test script creation and execution during each test phase. Provided system training to support teams, Account Management and to Clients themselves.

Three migration projects have been successfully completed so far, each in a six week timescale. Migrated over 500 Clients and approximately 10,000 users to the new tools

Project: Offline Sales Demo ToolUsed an Agile methodology to deliver a Sales Demo Tool that can be used to showcase new software features using Client's own data. Managed an external Vendor relationship. Owned the product backlog, creating user stories and use cases. Authored and executed acceptance tests. Provided demonstrations and training to stakeholders.

Releases delivered over six months (two – three month releases). The tool has been used to demonstrate functionality, to deliver training and has also been instrumental in

winning key new business mandates.

Project: Dashboard, Enquiry and Reporting Tools BuildUsed a Waterfall methodology to create new Dashboard, Enquiry and Reporting tools for Custody, Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency Clients. Performed the role of both Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst, leading a team of business analysts. Created and managed the Work Breakdown Structure. Facilitated multiple stakeholder workshops to gather requirements, model the required data and walkthrough high level wire-frames and designs. Authored Business Requirement Documents, Technical Specifications and Automated and Manual test cases. Created Sequence and Activity UML diagrams for key features.

Released over a two year period and included the build of data-warehouse and data-mart architecture.

Project: Client ImplementationUsed a waterfall methodology to deliver Client on-boarding projects, from the RFP stage to due diligence and implementation. Responsible for maintaining an RFP database.
