The Garden Hills PTA is accepting names for the 2015-2016 PTA Board As we plan for the next school year, we are beginning the process of nominating for next year’s PTA. This is the way in which we “staff” the PTA for the next school year. We are looking for individuals who are willing to give their time by leading a committee that in turn makes GHES stronger. If you’re interested or just have questions, please contact Kristin Childers at [email protected]. Please consider using your time and talents to make Garden Hills even better…..You can make a difference! VOLUNTEERS SPOTLIGHT: MEET KIM NOLTE & MAURICIO AMAYA They are the parents of Nicolas, a 5th Grader in Miss Petrello’s class. Kim leads a non-profit organization focused on adolescent health, and Mauricio is a chemist and a musician. Both parents have been volun-teering at GHES since Nicolas was in Kindergarten. Mauricio has played music from the Andes in the class-rooms and at our International Festival throughout the years. When Nicolas was in 1st Grade in Ms. Mar-tin’s class, Kim read to the class every Friday in both Spanish and English. You can find Kim and Mauricio volunteering at most of our other big events, such as the Talent Show, Fall Festival, and Movie Night. Kim was instrumental in getting our school gardens re-activated last year. For the past two years, Kim has served as our PTA Co-President.

Willing to serve?

We want you!
