Welcome to our 2013 catalog!

We think you will agree that you will find selections not available anywhere else. How would you like to grow Redventure Celery, Prudence Purple Beefsteak tomatoes, Thai Basil, Spice Island Rosemary or Stevia? How about certified organic artichokes, Dinosaur kale and Dragon Bush Beans! And our gourmet strawberries! The varieties, Elan, Frisan, Loran, Merlan, and Tarpan are from Holland and are everbearing, large fruited varieties. Some boast pink flowers and all taste terrific! Don’t confuse ours with the bare root varieties.

We strive to maintain our status as a ‘boutique’ plant source, unlike any other. Everything we sell is grown on the premises which insures you will always have locally grown fresh plants for your garden. Plan on visiting us often as our plant selections continually change, as many unlisted varieties appear as we trial new plants. Check our website often for these releases. This year we will offer 117 varieties of certified organic herb plants and 107 varieties of certified organic vegetable plants.

Starting in late Spring we will offer 23 varieties of organic herb and vegetable plants in large gallon pots ready for your garden or patio container. We have a good quantity of large lavender and rosemary plants available. The rosemary can be selected either sheared or un-sheared (taller). All are deer resistant.

We also feature a large selection of specialty annuals, as well as select perennials, most of which are deer resistant. Visit us often as our displays are ever changing. We believe you will find our plant selection unique.Whether you are a new or experienced gardener, we are happy to assist you to ensure your success.

We will be returning to the Greenport and Nesconset Farmer’s Markets on Saturdays and the Kings Park Farmers Market on Sundays again this year.

We open for the season on April 19th and close on July 7th. Hours are 9:00 am—5:00 pm, daily.

Thank you. Linell Gaipa

So how do we grow anyway? Our certified organic plants are grown in an organic compost based soil mix from a certified organic soil company. We only add approved organic fertilizers or more compost as needed. Pests are controlled with beneficial insect releases on a regular basis and approved pest controls when needed. While the regulations are very strict and we are inspected annually, we are happy to promote organic practices, not to mention we find that the plants grow better this way. Our conventionally grown plants utilize the same soil and pest pro- gram and may differ in some fertilizers applied. We use no residual pesticides or plant growth regulators.
