NJCKI Garden Division Updates

What’s poppin’ Garden Division?! I wanted to get this

newsletter out to let you all know about the awesome

things your fellow Circle K’ers are doing in their home

clubs and mention some future events. I’ll send another

newsletter out just like this before we start next semester,

so if you have any updates then send them my way. I

hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving break, and

I’m thankful to have great clubs like you!

Stockton University:

Stockton has been focusing a lot of their efforts this semes-

ter collecting service hours and fundraising for Relay For

Life. They recently passed their service hour goal of 3,000

hours, and have raised over $365 for their Relay For Life

team! They recently held their Service-a-Thon, where they made cards for the ACS Hope

Lodge, stockings and door decorations for the Ronald McDonald House, and cleaned up

their Adopt-a-Road. They finished everything off with a fun social at a trampoline park!! In

the future, Stockton Circle K will be working with the Stockton University Police Department

to collect toys for Toys for Tots this holiday season.

Atlantic Cape Community College:

ACCC has been making amazing strides with community

outreach! They have been working with a project known as

Hearts, where disabled veterans, children, and adults go for

therapeutic horse rides. They are going to be spending

Thanksgiving morning in the Branches Outreach Center in

Rio Grande, NJ serving meals to the homeless and food inse-

cure, and will be offering their service until 2 P.M.

In the future, ACCC will be hosting an Open Mic night from 2

-5 P.M on December 9th. All proceeds from refreshment

sales will go to the Branches Outreach Center. Contact me if

you would like to attend this event and are hoping to set up

a carpool!

Rowan University:

On October 24th, Rowan hosted Club Rally and created dog toys for a local animal shelter

as well as offered games on mental health trivia to raise awareness for the cause! They par-

ticipated in the Haunted Student Center at Rowan and created a Dr. Seuss themed room

for children to play games and trick-or-treat. Rowan raised over $60 for UNICEF during the

Halloween season, and they had a blast at Insight this year. They recently donated a

Thanksgiving basket to a family in need, and will be working with the Gloucester County

Animal Shelter this semester.

Rowan recently made gift boxes for

children to be sent out for the holiday

season!
