The MyQ Control Panel works by upgrading LiftMaster Security+ garage door openers that have been in the market since 1998. Even older Security+ garage door openers can take advantage of more modern technologies, once the Control Panel is installed.

To control a LiftMaster garage door opener remotely though, the LiftMaster Internet Gateway must also be in place. Paired with the MyQ Control Panel, the Internet Gateway leverages your internet connection to let you access your garage door opener through any computer or smartphone. Even your home lights can be controlled remotely with the combined power of the Control Panel and the Internet Gateway!

LiftMaster products compatible with the Internet Gateway include:

♦ Security+ 2.0 garage door openers featuring yellow learn buttons (models 8360, 8500, and 8550)

♦ Security+ 2.0 gate operators (models CSL24V, CSW24V, and LA500)

♦ MyQ Control Panel model 888LM, and related MyQ accessories (models 823LM, 825LM, and 829LM).

The 877MAX Wireless Keyless Entry is compatible with all LiftMaster garage door openers made starting January 1993. It has a 4-digit code you can program for security, with a feature for temporary codes to provide access to service and delivery personnel as well as any guests you might have.

Keying in four digits is a speedy way to open or close a garage door, but the 877MAX takes it a step further by offering a one-button-to-close feature. With one touch, garage doors close so you can quickly attend to matters. You’re just shaving off seconds, but sometimes just a few seconds can make a difference. However, this feature is only available to LiftMaster garage door openers produced since 2006.

Other features of the 877MAX Wireless Keyless Entry include a backlit keypad to easily program codes, and a weatherproof slide-up protective cover to shield the unit from the elements. Do you have an existing garage door opener? The 877MAX also easily synchronizes to the frequency your current opener uses, through a single manufacturer/single frequency design.
