The image of a modern girl - a girl-leader: training for girls on leadership
Organized by Muhayyo Gapirova
April 16, 2011
Aitmatov school, Nariman village
Why our community need this project?
Every woman and girl should strive for independence. In our community
there are few women leaders. In many countries women and men are
equal. They have the right to work in similar enterprises. To develop our
community we need to learn and should try to achieve such success. To
be successful girls need to know more about leadership. I participated in
workshops "save the children" Leadership and learning Convention on the
Rights of Children. So I decided to tell the other girls of our community
about leadership.
Goal of the project
The goal of my GYSD project is to develop leadership skills in girls, self-confidence and sense of responsibility.
Proposed activity
To achieve this goal, I will take away 15 students. Invite women leaders of
our city, to talk about their successes and achievements, and how they
did it. Stories of real people may have a greater effect than the stories
taken from the Internet and told by me.
Plan and resources
Plan:1. I will prepare advertisements and hang their school, will announce in
the school newspaper and website.2. I will choose 15 girls to participate in the training.3. In April 16 I will hold a training session.4. During the training, we play different games, to debate to the girls
was really interesting. Resources:1. We will need paper and a printer for ads. Our computer teacher will
help me in this.2. Also, we will need markers, flip charts, notepads and pens. 3. I will ask our class teacher to provide room for the training.4. We will ask the women leaders, we invite and prepare their stories
and reports in electronic form. To demonstrate this we will need a computer and projector.
Expected results
After my GYSD project, I expect that the girls learn the secrets of
a successful woman leader, and will apply this knowledge to
improve our schools, and in their future profession.

We want to be like them
