B.V.R. Mohan Reddy is a visionary who has placed India on the global map for leading-edge engineering research and development (ER&D) services. Having established Cyient (formerly Infotech Enterprises) in 1991, Mohan Reddy pioneered computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) solutions serving international clients. Cyient is consistently ranked among the top 15 IT services exporters from India. Cyient is also the largest independent exporter of high value research and development (R&D) services from India. 7 of the top 10 global aerospace companies, 5 of the top 5 global rail companies, 2 of the top 5 global semiconductor companies, 7 of the top 10 heavy equipment companies are Cyient’s customers. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) CIE division conferred the distinguished Leadership Award on Mohan Reddy in 2011. This is the industry’s most prestigious global award for engineering. Mohan Reddy was the first Indian and the seventh recipient globally. Cyient won ICSI (Institute of Companies Secretaries of India) National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance 2014. Mohan Reddy is a Member of Board of Trustees of LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. Mohan Reddy is currently serving as Chairman of NASSCOM (National Association of Software & Service Companies), and has been a member of the Executive Council since 2003. At NASSCOM, Mohan Reddy laid the foundation of NASSCOM’s engineering services council (ER&D Forum) through a range of initiatives, including instituting industry research on ER&D services. In his previous role as Vice Chairman, NASSCOM, he was credited with establishing the Member Connect program. Mohan Reddy has also served as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region (2008-2009). Mohan Reddy is also Director of T-Hub, the largest incubation centre in India for start-ups by Government of Telangana. Mohan Reddy has immense passion towards promoting education in India. Towards this, Mohan Reddy serves as Member on the Board of NIIT University, Neemrana; Member of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at lIlT, Hyderabad. Rajeev Sangal Director

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. He holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, and MS and PhD in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He is known for his work on computers and processing of human languages, and in particular on automatic translation among Indian languages. Before joining his current position he led a newly established research university, namely IIIT Hyderabad, for 11 years as its Director. In the new university, he helped create an innovative academic structure around research centres rather than departments; a radical research-oriented undergraduate curriculum; integrated trans-disciplinary BTech-MS programmes; research that tries to connect with society & industry; and an environment of experimentation, openness, and caring. He designed and helped make human values course a regular part of the academic curriculum at IIT(BHU) and IIIT-H. It has played a major role in shaping the atmosphere of the Institute, and drawing attention to larger human and societal concerns. There is also an attempt to run the institution on these principles. Since then the course has spread to several universities in India and abroad. His research in Natural Language Processing led to the development of Computational Paninian Grammar (CPG) framework. It has been applied to parsing, semanties and morphological analysis of Indian languages etc. and forms the basis of several machine translation systems among Indian languages as well as English. He leads/mentors the multi-institutional consortium that has developed MT systems for 18 Indian language pairs. He has authored 4 books and many research papers.

He is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and of Computer Society of India. He was given Vasvik award in 2008. As the President of NLP Association, India from 2002 onwards he helped organize the community of NLP researchers and started ICON, a high-quality annual NLP conference. He referees for many major conferences such as IJCNLP, ICON, COLING and ACL, and has been on the editorial board of journals computational Linguistics, Corpora, ACM Trans. of Asian Language Processing, Machine Translation, NL Engineering, etc. He was a member of the National Review Committee for PG programs in Engineering in India from 1996-98. He headed the Department of Computer Sc. & Engg. at IIT Kanpur 1987-90 where he spent 15 years as a faculty member.

K D Tripathi Professor Emeritus BHU Varanasi

Kamalesh Datta Tripathi is presently Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Sanskrit Learning & Theology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He was appointed Professor in 1987. Prof. Tripathi became Dean of the Faculty twice and also acted as a member of the Executive Committee of Banaras Hindu University. Professor Tripathi did his M.A. (with specialization in Sanskrit Sahitya) in 1958 from University of Allahabad, Allahabad, Acharya (Navya Vyakarana) in 1962, Acharya (Dharmashastra) in 1964 (both Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Varanasi) and obtained D.Phil from Allahabad University in 1966. He joined Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 1970 as Lecturer in Religion in the Faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vijnana. He became Reader in Religion in 1977. He was invited by Govt. of M.P. as Director, Kalidasa Akademi, Ujjain in 1981 and served as Director till 1986 and from 2003 to 2007. As Director of Kalidas Akademi, Ujjain, for two terms, he shaped up the institution as an international centre for Sanskrit studies and theatre. Professor in the Department of Religious and Agamic Studies at Banaras Hindu University in 1987, Prof. Tripathi has been an Advisor at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Varanasi since 2007. Professor Tripathi has also taught as visiting faculty at reputed universities and institutions in Europe such as the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Paris, and University at Copenhegan. Many of his students are now professors in various universities in India, Germany, Japan and France. Professor Tripathi frequently contributes to national and international journals of philosophy, aesthetics, theatre, literature and languages. He has edited and translated Amarusatakam. For his services to the Sanskrit

R. Chandrasekaran or Chandra as he is known, is Executive Vice Chairman, Cognizant India. In this capacity, Chandra focuses on strengthening Cognizant’s strong relationship with industry bodies such as NASSCOM, and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), driving strategic initiatives that strengthen outreach to the government, and further enhancing Cognizant’s brand equity through public relations in India. Chandra also focuses on fortifying Cognizant’s broad business relationships and technology/delivery thought leadership. Chandra works closely with project teams to drive ever greater levels of client intimacy to help key clients in their transformation journey. Prior to this, Chandra, as Cognizant’s Group Chief Executive, Technology and Operations, led our solutions and global delivery teams worldwide. Sandhya Shekar Advisor Knowledge and Innovation Strategies

Dr. Shekhar works in the area of Knowledge and Innovation Strategies. Her recent work focuses on helping organizations manage the challenges of global dispersion whilst leveraging market and innovation opportunities by extending organizational boundaries. She has worked at the confluence of industry and academic fraternities helping to build innovation ecosystems, in her former role as the first CEO of India’s first University Research Park. She also has extensive industry experience, having worked as Director, Asia Pacific Consulting, Gartner; CTO, BconnectB.com; Head, Knowledge Management Research, Aptech Ltd.; and Group Consultant, NIIT Ltd. She did her management studies at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. She earned her PhD from IIT Madras, with her dissertation winning the award for outstanding doctoral research from the European Foundation for Management Development and Emerald. She currently serves as an independent director on the Boards of Bimetal Bearings Ltd. and IP Rings Ltd.

Amit Biswas Executive Vice President Integrated Product Development Organization (IPDO) Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories

Dr Amit has 26 years of diverse and rich international experience, spanning academic and industrial research, product development, technical service and management of research & technology in the areas of pharmaceuticals, engineering polymers and plastics, high performance fibers and coatings, and alternate energy technologies. He worked earlier with companies like DuPont (USA), ICI India, GE Advanced Materials and Reliance Industries. Currently, Amit leads a global R&D team of more than 1200 people that develops new products for the Pharmaceuticals Services & Active Ingredients (PSAI) and Global Generics (GG) businesses within Dr. Reddy’s. These products are marketed in more than 20 countries, providing access to affordable and innovative medicines across the globe. Amit is a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma (GE Certification). He is also a member of various councils viz. CII National Council for Technology, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (Hyderabad) Research Council and has been previously associated with the NCL Research Council, the IIT Bombay Advisory Council, and the IIT Bombay Centre for Research in Nano-technology & Science. Amit has 44 international publications, 3 book chapters and 4 patents. Amit has a Ph.D and Masters degree in Polymer Science from Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA; and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Jaideep Mehta Managing Director - IDC South Asia IDC

Jaideep Mehta is Managing Director - IDC India and South Asia. He joined the company in early 2011 to set up IDC’s wholly owned subsidiary operations in India, and subsequently in South Asia. He is a thought leader, advisor to CEOs and an international conference speaker. Aside from India, he has presented to business leader and technology leaders in Europe, Asia, USA and Japan. From macro-economic trends to technology disruptions, and market and industry analysis, he has blogged, written and presented on a wide range of topics. He has been awarded the “Leadership Award for Contribution to Market Research” by the World Marketing Congress in 2014, and under his leadership, IDC India was conferred the CIO Choice Award for “IT Advisor of the Year” in 2014 & 2015. Prior to his current role, he was based in London, UK and worked at Gartner for over 5 years where he was Regional VP, Sales Operations & Business Development – EMEA. Before Gartner, he spent more than 2 and a half years in the Indian outsourcing sector, most notably at Zensar Technologies where he spearheaded the set up to their Financial Services practice in Europe. During the late nineties, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of a software products company based in New Delhi which successfully launched Asia’s first Guest Relationship Management product for luxury hotels. The company was sold to the partners of a private equity firm. Jaideep is a graduate from the Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University. He then completed an MBA degree from IIM, Bangalore and the Manchester Business School, UK. He enjoys reading, the occasional game of tennis and driving to remote parts of India.

Uma Ganesh Chief Executive Officer Global Talent Track Pvt. Ltd.

Dr Uma Ganesh has three decades of success in corporate and entrepreneurial ventures covering manufacturing, media, banking and IT sectors. Uma’s experience of working with leading corporates namely Crompton Greaves, Fibre Glass Pilkington, NIIT, APTECH and HSBC Global Resourcing enabled her to hone in her expertise in functional management and build leadership acumen in scaling and managing large businesses. As the Chief Corporate Development Officer at HSBC Global Resourcing, Uma had responsibilities for Strategy and implementation of Next Gen transformation Programme in the Asian foot prints of HSBC covering India, China, Malaysia, Philippines and Sri Lanka. She has previously been part of ZEE Media Group as the CEO of Zee Interactive Learning Services. Uma set up an entrepreneurial venture Global Talent Track focussed on skill development which attracted investment by Intel Capital, CISCO and Helion Ventures. This venture is one of the leading vocational skills companies that uses the blended learning model and acts as the bridge between the academia and the industry with the vision to empower the youth through employability and play a leading role in the mission of the country to skill 500 million youth by 2025.

Uma has been a recipient of several awards in recognition of her contribution to skill development and education in the country and she plays an active role in industry associations and business forums at national and regional levels with leadership responsibilities at the National HRD Network, CII – Indian Women’s Network, Bombay Management Associations Higher Education Forum to name a few. Uma has an MBA degree from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and a PhD degree from IIT Bombay. Dr. Parameshwar P. Iyer is a Principal Research Scientist in the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Science. He has had his education from IIT Kharagpur, the University of Illinois, and the University of California. He has been a faculty previously at Rutgers University of New Jersey, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Kozhikode. Dr. Iyer’s areas of interest include Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Business Systems. He has written three books, co-edited three Conference Proceedings, and published over 45 research papers. Ananda Byrappa has a Master’s degree in Information Science from Bangalore University. He did his Information and Knowledge Management Course at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Ananda has spent over 18 years in top multinational corporates. Served at Deutsche Bank Group, Zee Media Group and General Electric. Ananda is currently with GE, heading their Knowledge Centre, which serves GE’s 25 plus global sites in Asia, Europe and USA. He is also driving digitization and copyright compliance at GE. Ananda has co-edited a book, written 4 book chapters and published papers in Journals and Conferences. He has attended many national and International Conferences and delivered invited lectures. He was invited by UK Serials group to deliver a plenary talk in their conference in London. He was recently invited to Kaulalmpur to deliver a key note address in an international conference. He has served on Scopus International advisory board and invited by Wiley and Springer to serve on their advisory boards. Ananda has received best paper award recently for his paper at 3rd National conference on “Scientometrics & Big Data”. Nirmala is a knowledge management professional with over 15 years of experience in the function (most of it in the IT industry). She has had the opportunity to work on several knowledge management projects and initiatives covering organizational culture, process improvements and social technology design and implementation. Nirmala is passionate about knowledge management, employee engagement, learning, innovation and happiness at work. She is the inventor of a KM framework, methodology and toolkit that was granted a patent by the US patent office in 2010. Nirmala has authored and presented various papers and case studies at national and international KM conferences over the last decade or so. She loves writing about and sharing her KM experiences.

Ravi Shankar Ivaturi Directory - Operations Unisys

Ravi Shankar Ivaturi is the Operations Director of Asia Technology Centres (ATC) – India, China and Australia at Unisys. His portfolio of responsibilities includes Knowledge Management for ATC and Unisys India. Collaboration, Innovation and Inventions, and a strategy to Acquire, Retain and Propagate knowledge within and outside the Organization are at the core of the KM Strategy he developed. Ravi is a professional with over 20 yrs experience in Manufacturing and Software Industries. He served as a Member of the CII’s Knowledge Commission for 2012-13, and currently serving on CII National Committee on KM & Business Transformation. He is an active member of K-Community, Bangalore Chapter. Ravi was conferred with Knowledge Management Leadership Award at the Global KM Congress in June, 2014. Ravi has filed (jointly with his colleague) the first patent application from Unisys India, and later on contributed to the invention culture becoming part of the organization. He is passionate about Organization Development & Organizational Change Management. He has presented at several KM conferences. Infosys KM requirements.

In his stint at Infosys, he has also contributed extensively to Infosys KM strategy,

processes, promotion, and KM Metrics. He is also responsible for collecting data

and providing analytics platform of KM systems’ usage trends to formulate KM
