Games Design
A video game designer develops the layout, concept and game play of a video game. A game designer works for a developer (which may additionally be the game's video game publisher).
The main parts a game designer works on is: the rules of the game the setting story and characters props, such as weapons and vehicles different ways the game may be played.
What a game designer does is to try and convince the rest of their team to help them develop a game. If they do manage to convince their team the designer will work with programmers, artists, animators and audio engineers to turn the original idea they had into a working game.
A game designer works around 35 hours a week, but as it gets closer to the deadline they have to work longer to make sure everything is complete. The designers mainly tend to work in offices at computers or attending meetings.
The average salary of a games designer is from £19,000 to £55,000 a year.
