GAME OF THRONES

A Game of Thrones is of high class fantasy novels. Game of Thrones novel revolves around the struggles of the seven kingdoms to conquer the iron throne. It is the story of love, hate, revenge, politics and jealousy. The story has every shade of human nature & personality. It revolve around the dark phases & good phase of human life including war, cold blooded murder, brutal bloodshed on one hand & love, loyalty, friendship, trust on the other hand.

Its a story of dangerous adventure of girl who wants to reclaim throne in name of her ancestors who were dragons, its a story of a girl who wants to take revenge for the death of her family. Its a story of a son who wants to be ruler of the seven kingdoms.

Basically the Seven kingdom is the name given to the realm that controls most of the parts of Westeros and many off shore islands, which were ruled by the King of Andals and the first men from the Red Keep in the city of King's Landing. There are so many characters in the novel that it is very difficult to name them all but, Ill tell some important names that will help you in understanding the content below. Some important characters of the novel are Daenerys Targaryen the exiled princess of the Targaryen dynasty. Tyrion Lannister nicknamed as the Imp younger brother of Cersie and Jamie Lannister. Jaime Lannister he is a member of kings guard and a great swordsman. Cersei Lannister the queen of the seven kingdoms of Westeros and the wife of king Robert Baratheon. Eddard Stark the lord of winterfell and warden of north. Jon Snow the bastard son of the Lord Eddard Stark who joins the Nights watch. Petyr Baelish nicknamed Littlefinger is the master of coin in King Robert Baratheons small council. Margaery Tyrell the only daughter of Lord Mace Tyrell of house Tyrells. Stannis Baratheon - lord of Dragonstone, is the elder of Robert Baratheon's younger brothers. Theon Greyjoy the youngest son of Lord Balon Greyjoy of the Iron Islands. He is the hostage and ward of Lord Eddard Stark. Bran Stark the youngest son of Lord Eddard Stark of the Winterfell. Sansa Stark the first daughter and second child of Eddard and Catelyn Stark.

The novels starts with the execution of a deserter from the nights watch by Lord Eddard Stark. Night watch is the main force which keeps the dangers out of the north of the walls. According to the book Lord Eddard Stark lord of winterfell is a honourable, nobel lord and a very good fighter of his time. He is the head of house stark. At the first you might consider him as the main lead but the hope gets shattered when he gets executed very early in the Kings Landings on the order of Joffrey Baratheon. This act worsens the situation between the Starks and Lannisters. As the news of Lord Eddard Starks execution reached the north Robb Stark (son of Eddard Stark) becomes the ruler of north and he decides to avenge his fathers brutal murder. He gathers his army but he too gets backstabbed by Lord Walder Frey as revenge for Robb's breaking of a marriage pact he made with House Frey. At the wedding feast, the Freys turn on the Starks, and Robb, Catelyn (wife of Ned), Talisa and most of his army is massacred.Daenerys Targaryen is one of the charming character of the novel. She was forced to marry Dothraki Khal Drogo; the two gradually fell in love, but she lost her husband and stillborn son to the manipulations of the vengeful maegi Mirri Maz Duur. Following the death of her brother Viserys, Daenerys was left as the last Targaryen, and intends to claim the Iron Throne as her birthright. She formally styles herself as Queen Daenerys of House Targaryen, First of Her Name. At the wedding she gets three dragon eggs as the gift, she hatches them by having eggs placed on Drogo's funeral pyre, before she walked into the flames to claim them. She becomes the leader of Dothraki people and gradually took over the whole Westeros by the help of her dragons. She abolished the slavery system in the Westeros. While the Daenerys was bussy in ruling in Westeros and and solving the problems of the people, the Kings landing gets attacked by the Stannis Baratheon(brother of the former king of Kings landing) as he believed that he was the rightful owner of the iron throne as the current king,Joffrey was actually the bastard son of the incestuous relationship between Sir Jaime Lannister and Queen Cersei Lannister. Lannisters defeat the Stannis Baratheon and his army with the help of House Tyrell on the condition that the he has to marry princess Margaery Tyrell. MY PERSONAL FAV. CHARACTERTyrion Lannister- nicknamed as the Imp. He might not be the worlds greatest warrior but this guys knows how to tailor his words and use them like a weapon. He is one of the smartest and funniest character of the novel.
