GALAK Chromatography Technology
Galaksil® C18/C8
1
Galaksil® C18/C8 Galaksil® is packing media of Reversion Phase
Chromatography (RPC) which uses for peptides
isolation and purification.
Galaksil® is a long carbon chain C18/C8 bound
with the spherical silica-gel substrate which has
low metal-ion content (<20 ppm), high specific surface area and good mechanical
strength. With GALAK® unique chemical bonding technique, Galaksil® has excellent
stability of bonding and end-capping. Hence, Galaksil® is preferred media for
industrial isolation.
Advantages
• Uniform particle size, High column efficiency, High resolution
• Low poriness, no fragments in repeated packing processes
• Excellent C18/C8 bonding and end-capping technologies
• Alkali resistance, easy for CIP operation
Multiple Choice
Galaksil® C18/C8 for common usage.
Galaksil® C18H/C8X have better alkali resistance.

Note:
1. The performance of Galaksil® C18 changes little during repacking processes which conform to DAC
column requirements.
2. 100% isopropanol is for normal packing condition. For higher conditions, chloroform need to be
added.
3. The Permeability of sieve plate is very important for the performance of the column. The sieve plate
must be cleaned when the pressure rises.
