Spiral sea line is a column composed of wooden cylinders. The painting base is prepared with animal glue and Bologna chalque like in ‘400 Italian paintings, and is painted with Japanese mineral pigments. The image is the perimeter of Sant’Erasmo, the island where Venice, one of the first totally urbanized cities, has historically de-localized her agricul-tural production. The mapping of the island has been made by walking the distance of its perimeter and by reporting the portions of panorama that one could see from anyone point. The column is inserted by pressure between the floor and the sealing of the exhibition space.

The wooden planck are found object, their assemblage on the metal hanging device is inspired by basic principles of construction, and it allows the distinctions of an artificial space that has then been painted so to reproduce the effect of light diffused on natural and artificial surfaces (the sky, walls and sealings) of built-up areas.

Old, and irregular fishing net are wrapped around glasses. These objects are then prepared like traditional canvases and painted. The paint follows the pattern of the net and is applied on both sides of the glass. The glass allows a thickness that makes the painting on the front and the one on the back simultaneously visible and distant.Installation view at Tunisi Court, London.

In Settlement Grids, the space for the painting is created by balancing metal bars (fabricated as shelfs) and the wall and by stretching and preparing windows screens as canvases. The paintings portrait: a tulip farm, rise collectors, bat-tle-farmed chickens, a cemetery near the motorway.

Five round mirrors are hung from nylon thread at each vertex of an invisible pentagon on the ceiling. This is the simplest geometric form allowing the potential moment for each mirror to reflect all the others. This moment was mapped with thread and then traced onto the mirrors in a static position by corroding the silver nitrate. A technique commonly used for restoration and conservation known as Strappo has been employed to remove sections of various walls from an old farmhouse exposing layers of paint and plaster. These sections have then been attached to the backs of the mirrors. The physical properties of suspended discs cause an autonomous continuous rotation and therefore, the proposed alignment exists mostly as a potentiality.Installation view at Cascina Cuccagna, Milan.

This is an installation composed of five mirrors found in an abandoned swimming pool. Each contains a drawing of a diver, made by corroding the mirror’s silver nitrate with a chlorine solution. The chlorine present in the pool, which has already attacked the mirror over the years, determines the type of mark made in the drawing. The mirrors are posi-tioned so that each one reflects two others and by consequence, each reflects the whole installation. Each reflection was mapped with thread and then traced onto the mirrors with white pencil. The lines are remade specific to the space in which the work is installed.Installation view at “Exploding fluid inevitable”, Piscina Caimi, Milano.

Sans Ciel is a polyptic composed of eighteen canvases painted simultaneusly. The process of its making expresses the effort to reproduce, troughout painting, the syntetis operated by the vision. The starting point is a series of digital pho-tographs of a mountain landscape; the title refers to the sky that has been cut out from the framing, focusing instead on the details of rocks and trees. When selecting and editing the images I’ve tried to reconstruct the natural movement of the gaze over details, when it builds the general image of something seen and remembered. TThis works uses the same process than “Modernist house...” to raffigurare the position of a body in the world, as Bal-zac describes it in a novel that starts like : “I found myself in a very convinient situation, I’m between a window from which I see a forest in the night and a thick courtain that let me perceive the sounds of the party behind my shoulders, but prevents me from being seen”.
