Bit.ly  (www.bit.ly)  -­‐  shorten,  share,  and  track  number  of  clicks  to  your  links.  

Google:  Analy?cs,  Reader,  Alerts  (www.google.com)  -­‐  Learn  about  traffic  paDerns,  visitors,  referring  sites,  hits,  and  more.  

Hashtags  (hashtags.org)  –  Allows  you  to  track  trending  topics  (what  people  are  discussing).  

RSS  Feeds  (Really  Simple  Syndica?on)  –  Allows  subscribers  to  get  a  “feed”  of  content  in  their  email  (or  Google  site).  Allows  publishers  to  syndicate  their  content.  

Poll  Everywhere  (www.polleverywhere.com)  -­‐  an  online  polling  service  that  lets  people  text  answers  via  text,  TwiDer,  etc.  You  see  the  results  in  real-­‐?me.  

Facebook  (www.facebook.com)  -­‐  a  global  social  networking  site  where  people  share  life  events  and  interests  with  friends  and  family.  Companies  can  set  fan  pages  and  raise  awareness  about  events/causes.  

TwiDer  (www.twiDer.com)  -­‐  a  social  networking/microblogging  site  (140  characters  or  less)  where  people  share  thoughts,  news,  informa?on.  Offers  real-­‐?me  feedback  for  organiza?ons  and  way  to  connect  with  people  who  have  similar  interests.  

FriendFeed  (friendfeed.com)  -­‐  social  networking  aggregator  that  allows  people  to  share  Web  sites  and  informa?on  among  friends.  

Blogs:    Wordpress  (wordpress.com  or  wordpress.org  and  www.blogger.com)  -­‐  a  blog  is  a  “web  log”  that  offers  commentary,  photography,  or  other  informa?on  you  want  to  share  in  a  journal  type  of  format.  

Gowalla  (www.gowalla.com)  -­‐  a  geoloca?on  social  networking  site  where  friends  check  into  loca?ons,  give  feedback  and  collect  rewards  (a  good  way  to  track  your  audience  and  what  they  like).  

Foursquare  (foursquare.com)  –  a  geoloca?on  social  networking  site  where  friends  check  in,  offer  ?ps,  and  get  badges/mayorships.  

CauseWorld(www.causeworld.com)  -­‐  a  geoloca?on  site  where  people  check  in,  gather  karma,  donate  to  causes  and  share  their  ac?vity  with  friends.  Companies  sponsor  karma  points.  

Goby  (goby.com)  –  a  geoloca?on  site  where  people  learn  about  events  and  things  to  do  in  ci?es  they  visit  or  live.

Digg  (Digg.com)  –  News  and  informa?on  on  the  Web.  Featured  content  is  determined  by  what  people  vote  on  to  be  the  best.  

Del.icio.us  (hDp://delicious.com/)  –  Social  bookmarking  site.  People  discover  sites  they  like  and  share  them  with  friends.  

StumbleUpon  (www.stumbleupon.com)  -­‐  Site  that  recommends  sites,  videos,  photos  based  on  the  subscriber’s  customized  preferences.
