• 5.25” x 3.0” x 2.0” Deep excluding switch• 1.25 lbs• 2 Circuit Breakers• Low freq buzzer emulates gear motor• High freq buzzer used for gear up warnings• 9 symptom driven malfunctions• Power NMH internal battery pack; 2-6 hrs• Asynchronous CFI malfunction setup
Issues
• Exemption to 61.31 (e) took 18 months. Estimate next time at 120 days (optimistic)
• Installed under a FAA form 337• Does not address the variable pitch prop
element of complex endorsement• Has been used to train limited number of
pilots, and inventor will apply for exemption to FAR 61.129(a)(3)(ii) that requires 10 hours for complex endorsement
