Sliding position

On being released from the tilt position,the sliding sash stands parallel and is slidsideways.

Tilt position

During ventilation the sash is securely heldopen via the stay arms even with heavy wind;it is prevented against sideways movement.

Closed position

The central locking system provides for theperipheral locking of the sash.

Forced controlBoth fitting types have drivenstay arms (forced control via turn handle) pressing the sash to the frame over its total width when closing, and pushing it off the frame evenly when opening.Ideal for large and heavy sashes.

With their driven stay arms, the fitting types mZ provide utmost ease of operation as well as secure and reliable functioning of large and heavy patio door leaves.� The innovative design of the

runners distinguishes itself by the soft run in curve of the cam segment allowing the end of the sash to run smoothly.Moreover, the sliding sashes move easily and accurately to any position desired.

� With the ergonomically shaped aluminium handle every func-tion of the door is controlled: Releasing the central lock and setting off the sash; releasing from tilt position, sliding the sash open and closed; pulling the sash closed and locking it at the same time.

� The turn handles come with anti-lockout device, or as lockable handle with profile cylinder for operation from one or both sides.

Closing pressure control

The stays are connected witha metal rod – the closingpressure is evenly transferredover the total sash width.

G.U-90 oZ with non driven stay arms is suitable for smaller and light window and patio door units both in residential and project construc-tion. It is also available for the use in combination with double leaf side hung patio doors.

Convenient assembly with “Cleverle”The automatic locking pin cle-verly adjusts itself to the rebateclearance (which in practice isnot always ideal) thus savingsettings on the sash.

Smooth engagement

The sash is slid open to the posi-tion desired almost without effort– and it smoothly engages in endposition while closing.

As side hung or tilt-turn sash, thepassage door leaf is operated indepen-dently of the folding sashes.

Efficient ventilation

All 3- to 7-sash units are equipped witha tilt-turn sash serving as passage doorleaf. In secured tilt position, this sashoffers an additional possibility of aeration(see overview of schemes, page 11).

with slide-fold fittings G.U-922 and G.U-822 with bottom running system...

On slide-fold units withG.U-922 fittings (timber/PVC)or G.U-822 (aluminium), the running rail is mounted at the bottom.

� The running rail takes up the sash weight and transmits it to the floor safely. As a result, safe functioning is provided independently of the stability of the building construction at the top – e.g. eaves of conser-vatories.

� Folding sashes with a width up to 900 mm (timber/PVC) or 1000 mm (aluminium) and a weight up to 80 kg are manu-factured from tilt-turn profiles.

� Provided with peripheral gaskets, the units offer high impermeability as well as optimum heat and sound insulation.

� Stylish appearance due to a flat guide rail and to runners concealed under a cover profile.

� Slide-fold units come as inward or outward opening versions, applications for 3 to 7 sash units are possible.

� Optimum protection against corrosion due to surface sealing ferGUard*silver.

Moved to the side, the folding sashesdemand only little parking space andopen up the interior towards gardenand terrace.

Passage door leaf in open position

As side hung or tilt-turn sash, thepassage door leaf is operated indepen-dently of the folding sashes.

Ventilation in secured tilt position

As tilt-turn type, the passage door leafon 3- to 7-sash units offers an additio-nal possibility of aeration in secured tiltposition.(See overview of schemes, page 11).

On slide-fold units withG.U-925 fittings (timber/PVC)or G.U-825 (aluminium), the running rail is mounted at the top.

� Indoors, this type of fittings can optionally be used with flush floor guide, i.e. without a threshold protruding, and is therefore especially suitable for the handicapped and for wheel chair users.

� Folding sashes with a width up to 900 mm (timber/PVC) or 1000 mm (aluminium) and a weight up to 80 kg are manufactured from tilt-turn profiles.

� Ceilings with high load capa-city or ruggedly designed eaves allow for the stable fixing of the running rail at the top.

� Provided with peripheral gaskets, the units offer high impermeability as well as optimum heat and sound insulation.

Elegance andsmoothnessGuides with 2 rollers provide the smooth running of the foldingsashes. A stylish appearance is achieved with the flat guide rail.The folding sashes are moved with utmost ease:The 4-wheel running carriage ensures convenient operation;the small depth of the runningrail contributes to the stylishappearance of the unit. Top-running carriages are con-cealed behind the guide rail.

SettingsGuide rollers and runners can be adjusted to various sash over-lap dimensions; this is how thefittings are adapted to the par-ticular profile systems.Hinges join the folding sasheswith each other and with theframe.The position of the sashestowards each other can beadjusted on the hinges by+/-2,5 mm per hinge.The runners are adjustable by +4/-1,5 mm.

OperationThe single handed operationof G.U slide-fold units via turnhandle is easy and comfortable.Lockable gears and handles foroperation from both sides areavailable on request.
