GUIDE for the registration of UNED credentials and for the pre-inscription at UCAM The goal of this guide is to explain the steps required to apply for UNED credentials, which equals the accreditation of the high school diploma of another European Union Member State or an International Bachelor to the Spanish educational system in order to request access to a university in Spain for any faculty. Before proceeding, consult with UCAM whether it is still possible to register for the degree course in which you are interested in, since for the different courses there are several deadlines (info e-mail to [email protected] ). 1) REGISTRATION The first thing to do is to visit the web page of the UNED (the institution that issues the credencials) with the following link https://accesoextranjeros.uned.es/asiss_misdatos. Below you see what will appear. You can switch to English language. Then click on OTHER ID NUMBER .

GUIDE for the registration of UNED credentials and for the pre-inscription at UCAM The goal of this guide is to explain the steps required to apply for UNED credentials, which equals the accreditation of the high school diploma of another European Union Member State or an International Bachelor to the Spanish educational system in order to request access to a university in Spain for any faculty. Before proceeding, consult with UCAM whether it is still possible to register for the degree course in which you are interested in, since for the different courses there are several deadlines (info e-mail to [email protected] ). 1) REGISTRATION The first thing to do is to visit the web page of the UNED (the institution that issues the credencials) with the following link https://accesoextranjeros.uned.es/asiss_misdatos . Of course, all personal data and identity documents that will be inserted from now on should be those of the student who requires the credencials. Once passed the previous step, we have access to a form to fill in your main data that is required, as in the image below.

In "Document ID" as "ID Type" choose DOCUMENT IDENTITAD OFICIAL (NO ESPAÑOL) if you use the European national identity document (country own identity card); if you decide to use the passport, choose PASAPORTE. Be aware that the countries listed in the dropdown-menu are still in Spanish (e.g. for Germany type Alemania). Next, insert the number of this document (including letters, no spaces), the country that issued the document and your nationality. Pass then down to "Datos personales" (personal info), where you put the name (Nombre) and your surname (Primer apellido); only if you have a second surname enter the space “Segundo apellido”. Now choose male sex (Hombre) or female (Mujer).

In the space "Datos de contacto del solicitante" (Contact details of the applicant), as in the image below, insert your e-mail address, your telephone number (if available) and your mobile number (Móvil), by inserting at the beginning of both numbers the international prefix. In "Datos de Nacimiento" insert your date of birth (Fecha de nacimiento), city of birth (Lugar de nacimiento), also including the initials of the province, and the State of birth (País de nacimiento). Be aware that the countries listed in the dropdown-menu are still in Spanish (e.g. for Germany type Alemania). Don’t select "Provincia de nacimiento" unless you are born in Spain. At the bottom of the paragraph you accept the data protection "He leído y acepto ...", and finally you click down on the "CONTINUAR" (continue) button.

You will see the following screen, which announces your site registration and asks you to check your e-mail box (the one that you included in the registration), where you will find an e-mail by UNED containing a link to confirm your registration and create a password. You then check the e-mail and click on the link in the message just received by UNED (it may be delayed a few minutes to arrive).

Once you click on this link, you will be redirected to the following page (see image below), where you will have to choose and confirm a password (in Spanish "contraseña") containing at least 8 characters, including at least one capital, at least one small, at least one number and at least one special character ($, &,%, ...). Once done, you will click on "Aceptar" (Accept).

You will then receive another e-mail by UNED confirming the new password chosen by you and giving you your username. It will then appear a new screen where you insert your username (or "usuario" in Spanish), and the chance of inserting your e-mail address with the same username, in case you forgot your password. Click again on "Enviar” (Send), as in the image below. Now you can finally get access to the site.

If at any moment of the process or subsequently, you will accidently log off click on the following link to regain access to your personal page with username and password and check the status of your request to the UNED: https://sso.uned.es/sso/index.aspx?URL=http%3A%2F%2Faccesoextranjeros.uned.es%2Fasiss_miespacio . 2) CREATE REQUEST CREDENCIAL On the next screen you have to log in at the bottom (see picture) select "Crear nueva solicitud" (new application). From here, in fact, you can access all the accreditation services provided by the UNED.

Once clicked on it, the bottom should show your request to fill out (alternatively, if the demand does not appear automatically, go to the start page and click on the yellow box "Borrador" (draft) and you will be prompted to fill it out again). The request looks like in the image that follows (Estado/Sate). You leave "English" as the “idioma” (language), and select "tramitacíon individual" (individual processing).

In "País de estudios y type" (countries and studies) select the continent and the country in which you graduated in (for example Europe and Germany for graduates in Germany). As "Typo de estudios" (Type of studies) choose "Estudios secundarios del Anexo I del reglamento" (High School).

Now you will have to select the services that we require to UNED. For ALL STUDENTS , we will select the first box "Calificación para admisión universidad Española" (Qualification for Admission Spanish University), see picture, which is what we know as "credencials".

Next ONLY THOSE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN MEDICINE have to follow chapter 3) of this guide. ALL OTHER can skip to Chapter 4) PAYMENT. 3) SKILLS TEST (Medicine students only) ONLY the students interested in doing Medicine, in addition to requiring the credencials, in order to increase this score of credencials (ranging from 5 to 10 based on the final score of High School Diploma), you have to carry out a compulsory scientific spanish test called "Prueba de Competencias Específicas ", due to which you can get up to 4 additional credencial points (thus, total maximum of 14 points). This requirement is obligatory due to

the fact that the UCAM accepts applications to Medicine only if they have a score 11 and above (and, as mentioned, solely the credencials give maximum 10 points). For the academic year 2017/2018 you can subscribe to this test not later than the May 8th 2017. You can take part in this test not only in Spain but also in many major European cities during the days in between 5th and 10th of June 2017, select the box "Prueba de Competencias Específicas" (competency test, as in the image):

By clicking on "elige one" (pick one) you will choose the location where to do the test. By clicking on "Solicitar Nueva Prueba" (request competency test) you can add at least 2 and up to 4 subjects in which you will be examined. You can choose the following subjects: - Biology - Physics - Matemáticas - Chemistry. Please be aware that ONLY the two subjects in which you will achieve the highest ratings in the tests (at least reaching the sufficiency) will be considered for the purposes of assigning four extra points. Therefore, as mentioned, you can choose to take part in 1 to 4 subjects (enrollment in each subject costs 30€). To choose each subject, after selecting it from the menu, you will click on "Solicite prueba" (request), as in the following:

In the end, if you have correctly selected the subjects, you will have a box as in the example below:

Also, as for students of Dentistry, those students of Medicine have to select the paragraph "Modalidad Bachillerato realizada" (High School path) box (image below). You will then select one of the options below, depending on the type of your sending school: - Arts: for graduates of Art Schools or Musical High Schools - Ciencias: for graduates of the High School or technical or professional scientific institutes

- Itinerary ciencias sociales: for graduates of Humanity High School or other technical or vocational schools not included in other categories - Humanities Itinerary: for graduates of High Schools or Language High Schools

The exact information and address of the venue of the selected examination, date and time of the test, etc., will be stated in the pdf-document of confirmation (called "Resguardo"/”Receipt”) that you can download after payment at the end of the process described in this guide. Now also medical students can go to Section 4) PAYMENT

4) PAYMENT At this point, depending on the type of student, you will get a different box below under "PAGOS" (Payment), with a different price schema for the service required. In particular: - for ALL STUDENTS except of Medicine, the price to be paid will be 115,45€

- for students of Medicine the price will be at least 175,45€ (if you have selected one subject to be examined in the test, for 2 subjects it will be 200,45€, 220,45€ for 3 subjects and for 4 subjects you will have to pay 240,45€) For all, the payment can be made online by credit card or Visa (or Visa Electron), Mastercard or Maestro, clicking on the button to the right "Pago Online" (Online Payment). A window will open (see picture) where you will have to click "Pagar con Tarjeta" (pay by card). At that point a dropdown-menu will appear where you type in the number of the card ("tarjeta"), expiry date ("caducidad") and the security code ("code seguridad") of 3-digit number located on the back of the card. Then you will click on "Pagar" and follow the instructions until the confirmation of payment. Finally, after the confirmation, if the window does not close by itself, you will click on "Cerrar" (Close).

At this point, in the "Pagos" of the online application page, below the name of the paragraph, should be written that the payment ("Pago") was carried out. 5) THE DOWNLOAD "Resguardo" (Receipt) Next, you go down to the paragraph "Comprobantes" (proof) and will click on "Resguardo PDF"(Receipt). If by mistake you have already downloaded the Resguardo (receipt) before making the payment, you must re-download after paying, as it also constitutes the proof of payment, as you shall see below.

By clicking on "Resguardo" (receipt) a pdf-document will appear that is called "Resguardo" (receipt) and says "Solicitud pagada" (this is the confirmation that you paid the request) and that states all the data of the online application you realized. To download this Resguardo, click on any point in the document when it appears superimposed: the download will start automatically. Once saved, you will need to open and print the Resguardo (Receipt), as you will see in the next chapter of this guide, it has to be send or delivered along with all documentation required to UNED. Moreover the Resguardo (Receipt) is also the ACCESS DOCUMENT, which will load in the online pre-inscription of UCAM when applying for a degree (see Chapter 8 of this guide). Furthermore, ONLY for Medicine students, the document also contains information on the date and venue of the specific skills test (chapter 3 of this guide), and must be submitted together with your ID on the day of the test.

6 ) DOCUMENTS REQUIRED Going in the "Entrega de documentación" (Summary, documents required) field, you will have to choose how to deliver the required documents to complete the application for UNED. The options to choose from are 4, but only two are really feasible for a non-resident in Spain: - Por correo (by postal mail): either by sending documents via post mail - Entrega directa (direct delivery): delivering in person (or by another person with a proxy signed by you) the documentation at the office of UNED in Madrid (Spain). Since this year the results of the credencial are NOT released in view of the requesting student, but are directly delivered online by UNED to the universities online inscription (in this case to UCAM), we recommend to not deliver the documents in person at the office of UNED (unless you are present in Madrid), but rather send them by mail, choosing a delivery service faster or slower depending on the urgency you have (referring to the UCAM deadlines to complete the pre inscription in which you are interested). However, whether the documents are sent by mail or whether you present them in person, the address of the UNED is as follows: UNEDasiss Calle Juan del Rosal, 14 (CIUDAD UNIVERSITY) 28040 MADRID España A lternatively, choosing the option "Por correo" (by postal mail), you can personally bring the documents to a Spanish embassy or Spanish consulate in the country in which you reside; there you can request information on delivery times to the UNED. For all the students, the following documents have to be sent or delivered to the UNED: - certified photocopy of your identification-card (must be the same document you used during the application of credencials on the webpage of the UNED) - certified photocopy of the high school diploma - certified photocopy of the final records of the last two years of high schools, which include all the signatures - “Resguardo” print, that is the online application receipt that you downloaded earlier. Affix the student's signature in a empty space of “Resguardo”. After selecting the document mode of delivery, go down at the bottom of click on “Enviar solicitud” (if there isn’t this option, it means that the system has already confirmed the request after the download of the “Resguardo”).

At this point, you just have to send or deliver the required documents to the UNED, according to the selected mode by you.

From this moment, you may receive some e-mails from the UNED that will inform you about the status of your request. Because of that, it is very important to frequently check your e-mails (including spam folder and/or junk mail). Once the UNED receives the documentation, it shall issue the credencials. They DON’T deliver or send them to you, but directly forward them from the online portal of the UNED to the university, UCAM. In order for UCAM to have access to your credencials, it is necessary that you perform the pre-inscription for the UCAM Degree. For this reason, once the documentation is sent to the UNED, you must make a pre-registration at UCAM as soon as possible. In the next chapter, we will see precisely how to make the pre-registration to the UCAM for any degree course. 7) PRE-REGISTRATION UCAM The pre-entry to degree courses of the UCAM is carried out online at https://campus.ucam.edu/2017/preinscripcion/ . Once you’ve gone into the site of the pre-registration, register your e-mail account. You will insert your e-mail and the captcha, as in the example below, and then will click "Aceptar" (Accept).

Then it will appear a sign that confirms that the system has generated a password for access to your account, sending it automatically to the e-mail that you have provided:

Then, you will check this e-mail and password (or "clave" in Spanish): sometimes messages sent by Web UCAM may be delayed a few minutes; if it does not arrive soon, also check your spam folder and/or junk mail, and if not to repeat the operation. Now return to the page of the entry pre-registration page with the link above, and insert a bit below your e-mail and password immediately upon receipt in the box below. Then click "Aceptar" (Accept).

This way you enter the portal of the university, where you will have to enter the number of your ID. As type of document choose PASAPORTE / OTROS and insert in the line below the document number (including letters and without spaces). WARNING: the document that you insert can be the National Identity card or passport, but it must be the same as you used to request the credencials at UNED. So if you used the National Identity card for the credencials process at UNED, you will use the identity card for the pre-registration; If instead you used the passport, you will also use your passport here. After entering to the document, you will click on "Siguiente" (Next).

Pre-registration is made, as you can see, of 4 main parts:

1) PREINSCRIPCIÓN: where you choose the course you apply for admission and insert all your personal data and contact details

2) DOCUMENTOS: where you upload scans of required documents 3) DESCARGA IMPRESO: where to do the payment of pre-enrollment and to download

the pre-registration document 4) SOLICITUD: where, once completed the first three phases, it is possible to monitor

the status of your request, to receive the possible admission In this guide, you will see the example of a subscription request to a Degree course (Bachelor). In the first part (1) PREINSCRIPCIÓN you will see this screen:

You will choose as "Estudio to solicitar" (Kind of tuition your are interested in) the option DEGREE. At that point you can choose up to 4 courses in order of preference. Obviously it is only required to fill in the line 1, with the main course to which you want to register. In the case of courses available in two different locations, you can also fill in the first two lines with the same course, but with the two different locations, in order of preference (for example in the case of Physiotherapy, you can insert in row 1 the site of Murcia, and in line two, the site of Cartagena, or vice versa, according to your preference). This means that, if in your favorite courses there are no more available places, you can be admitted to the second option, provided that in the latter there are still places. The RC checkbox is selected if you want to take a later recognition of credits from a previous academic career (for example graduate students in Physiotherapy who want to validate subjects in common with Physiotherapy they already have taken part in). The SM checkbox is selected only for Simultaneous studies, or if you are planning to attend two courses in Spain at the same time. The "Docencia" option allows you to choose the language (Spanish or English) or course modality (presencial, semipresencial or online), ONLY for those courses that are available in multiple languages and in different modalities. Lower down you insert all personal and contact data:

Some tips for the more difficult points: - Apellidos is the surname, Nombre is the name - CP is the Postal Code (PC). Sometimes, due to a computer error, when you insert your postal code the system automatically stores a Municipality ( "Población") that does not actually correspond to yours: in this case, leave what the system indicates, because the only important thing it is that the Postal Code is correct. Subsequently, the central university secretariat corrects such data - the sex HOMBRE is male, female is MUJER - as a kind of street write “C /” and next manually insert the full name of the street; the first small box on the right is to enter the street number, the other three are "house number", "apartment" and "door" (but it is not required to insert) - MÓVIL is the phone. If you don’t have a Spanish number, you can insert it without the international prefix - as "Forma de acceso" (Access type) choose "Estudiantes de la UE" (Access of EU and non-EU students by international agreement), answering "Yes" to the question that appears on the right. For students of Dentistry and Medicine, it could happen that the form "Estudiantes de la UE" is not present among the options. If so, choose the option "Prueba de acceso a la universidad" (University Test) and in the dropdown-menu that appears to the right click on "Bachillerato LOE" (Bachelor´s Degree LOE) and then leave it blank in the section below (Rama de conocimiento/Specialty).

Be aware that the countries listed in the dropdown-menu are still in Spanish (e.g. for Germany type Alemania). Paragraph "Estudios previos universitarios" is used to indicate previous university studies (in case you have done some), distinguishing between "Finalizados" as finished and "No finalizados," that have not been finished. In this case, choose as "Universidad" OTRA (OTHER) the option to manually enter the name of the university where the studies were done. In the "Estudio" (course), instead, enter the name of the course of the Degree. At this point, you can click on the top of " (2) DOCUMENTOS" , to access the second section of the pre-enrollment:

Here you will have to upload scans of three mandatory documents (please provide high quality scans, so that the documents are clearly visible): - DNI / PASAPORTE: Both sides of identification that you recorded in the pre-enrollment. The file must be in PDF format - DOCUMENT DE ACCESO (ACCESS DOCUMENTS): is the Resguardo PDF file (Receipt) you have downloaded in the credencial request, after payment, and that confirms that you have already paid and sent the request to the UNED. Of course, for students who already have credencials issued in 2016 , with the old system of UNED, you will have to insert a scan of these credencials in a PDF format and not the resguardo. - PHOTO: passport photos (in color with a white background) in JPG or JPEG format. In the left pane, hold down the left mouse button, by dragging it, you will have to select the area you want to frame (see image below):

Once properly uploaded the documents, the boxes next to each document will turn green, as in the image below. Only after all boxes are green, you can proceed with step 3 of the pre-enrollment.

Then click at the top (3) DESCARGA IMPRESO (Download the form) , accessing the third part of the pre-enrollment.

Here will appear an option of "Cita Previa"(Appointment), it will be differentiated between students just out of high school, students who are more than 25 years old, etc., But this APPLIES ONLY STUDENTS BELONGING TO SPAIN OR TO THE SPANISH SCHOOL SYSTEM. Therefore, it is NOT of interests for you. Then you scroll down the page until you get to the section "Seleccione la forma de pago", in which you will have to choose how to pay the fee of 175€ for the courses in Spanish or 475€ for the courses in English for pre-registration at UCAM:

As you can see in the photo, you can choose to pay by bank transfer ( "Pago por ventanilla") or directly online by credit / debit card Visa (or Visa Electron), Mastercard or Maestro. Choose the method you prefer to pay and click on "Continuar" (Continue). If the payment does not go through or if you change your mind on the method of payment before completing it, go back on part 3 of the pre-registration form and reload the page, the system will give you again the ability to choose how to pay. Let's look at the two different methods of payment: - Pago por ventanilla (bank transfer): after clicking on "Continuar" (Continue) the page will reload, and will appear a downloadable pdf-document, which is the "pre-registration document". You have to print the document and sign it. On this document, consisting of 3 pages (one for you, a second identical one for the UCAM Secretary and a third for the Bank if requested). At the end of each page, it shows the bank account details of UCAM to make the transfer, which is as follows (once the transfer made, store the receipt of payment): R ecipient: Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia Reason: Preinscripción the alumnus Name Surname IBAN: ES03 0049 6660 7926 1603 8051 SWIFT / BIC: BSCHESMM - Pago por Tarjeta (credit / debit): The system will open an online payment page where you will have to enter your card details. At the end of the process, you can save the payment receipt and you will see a pdf-document which is the "pre-Registration Document" in which it is pointed out that you have already paid the fee; That document should be printed and signed. Once payment is made, send an email to [email protected] and attach the scans of the following documents: - identity document used in the pre-enrollment - Resguardo (Receipt) the request of credencials (in the case of Credencial 2016 owners directly scanning the credencials)

- Document signed pre-registration (only the page on the bottom which shows "copy for secretary") - proof of payment of the fee pre-registration of 175€ for the courses in Spanish or 475€ for the courses in English (in the case of payment by credit card, consider the pre-registration document as proof of payment) Let us then go to the fourth phase of the pre-registration, clicking on the top of (4) ESTADO DE SOLICITUD . Here you will find an explanation which tells you that as long as all the documents are not present at the secretariat of UCAM, you do not receive admission. Obviously, documents also refer to credencials, that the UCAM receives directly from the UNED, and that UCAM may require to UNED thanks to the pre-registration document that we e-mailed in step 3. Please be aware that ONLY STUDENTS OF MEDICINE, must also submit the final document of the PCE skills test, after they have done the test in June and have gotten results. After receiving all your documents, and according to the different admission criteria, UCAM will send you by e-mail the admission response. ONLY AFTER having received a notification via e-mail to have been admitted, go back to part 4 of the pre-registration, where you can complete the matriculation: first you will have to fill out a "university statistics form" (a small survey) and then you can go to "Impreso de Matricula" (Print of Matricula), which shows the total amount payable for the first year and the date by which to pay it. Some courses will require to only pay a first deposit with the purpose of reserving the place until September, when you then have to pay the remaining amount (logging back in to part 4 of the pre-registration). In case of transfer payment of the annual fee, the bank details are the same as in the pre-registration.
