If you attended a college or university outside the United States, you must provide an official evaluated transcript (not from you to us, but from the evaluating agency to us). Please do not send any transcript directly to us that is from a college or university outside of the United States--send it to an evaluating agency.

All first-time graduate students are required to provide a complete health history and proof of immunization to Student Health Services. The CERTIFICATION OF IMMUNIZATION must be completed fully and accurately by the student's health care provider prior to matriculation at Virginia State University. Send all completed health forms to:
You must apply well in advance so that your file may be reviewed and your admission processed, the Form I-20 issued and processing time for your courtry's immigration requirements.
The certification process must be completed prior to December 1st, for the Spring semester.
The certification process must be completed prior to July 1st for the Fall semester.
Please submit all required docuemnts at least one month in advance of these deadlines.
After that date, your admission to VSU will be deferred to the next available academic term.

Certified Affidavit of Support (including Bank Statement not less than 6 months old) attesting to funds available while studying on a 12-month basis (copies of bank drafts and financial statements will not be accepted).
The International Student Advisor will assist with your Financial Certification and Form I -20.
Current estimated expenses: $37,413.00 (US Currency)
The International Student Advisor will evaluate your Financial Documentation to ensure that you have satisfied Department of Homeland Security directives. When all admission and Department of Homeland Security requirements have been met, a Form I-20 will be mailed to you. If you already have a Visa or permanent residency card, submit these to the International Student Advisor.
