What is LMT

The BSC6000 operation and maintenance (O&M)

system consists of the GBAM, the local maintenance

terminal (LMT), and the integrated O&M system

(iManager M2000).

The LMT is connected to the

Monitoring the Channel Interference Band


To monitor the interference band of idle channels

The interference band is the uplink interference level reported by the

BTS to the BSC through an RF RESOURCE INDICATION message.

The interference band is divided into five grades, as listed in Table 4-2.

If the interference band of an idle

channel is in grades 4 or 5, the

channel interference exists.

Configuring Frequency Scan Function Description

To set the start time and duration of frequency scan

When the GBAM time is in the scan duration, the frequency scan starts

and reports the scan results periodically. When the GBAM time is not in

the scan duration, the frequency scan stops.

To test idle timeslots

In the network optimization process, the network has to be manually

set to maximum interference mode to obtain the maximum

interference of the entire network. All the idle timeslots in a specific

area are set to send idle frames to achieve this maximum

interference mode.
