INTRODUCTIONTheEltaSANOPIVLOFTisapositiveinputventilationunitsuitableforinstallationinaloft.Itcontinuouslysuppliesfreshairthroughasingledischargediffuser,situatedontheceilingofthetopfloorinacentralhallwayorlanding.Theunitissuitableforhangingorroofjoistmounting.

UnitSettingTheSANOPIVLOFTunitrunscontinuouslyinyourloftatalowlevelsupplyingfreshcleanairintoyourhome.Thisfreshairdilutesthestaleandhumidairinyourhouseandisagreatwaytopreventandevencurecondensationdampnessandmouldproblems.Theunitsettingisselectedbytheinstallertosuitthesize,layout,thermalpropertiesandmoistureproductioninthehome.Gettingthissettingrightisveryimportantandisoftenbasedontheexperienceoftheinstaller.Itisasimportantnottooverventilateasitistounderventilateahome.EltaFansResidentialteamhasmuchexperienceinsettingPIVunitsandcanbecontactedanytimeforadvice.Theunithasnumerousautomaticspeedadjustmentstooptimiseventilationandenergyuse.

NormalModeTheunitwill run inthismodeforthevastmajorityof itstimesupplyinguntil theunit’s integral temperaturesensorswitchesitto“HeatRecovery”or“Standby”mode,orthe“OverrideBoost”mode(ifconnectedviaasuitableswitch)isactivatedbytheoccupants.Thisrateissetvia3dipswitchesshowninthewiringdiagram,whenleavingthefactorythisissetto29l/s.

HeatRecoveryModeWhentheairintheloftisaboveatriggertemperaturetheunitwillautomaticallyswitchtoanincreasedspeed.Thisincreaseinspeedtakesadvantageofotherwiseunusedenergyintheroofspaceandbringsitinsidethehousepotentiallyreducingheatingbills.

This trigger temperature is adjustablebetween15-25°C, via trimmnerV1 (shown in thewiringdiagram).Thedefaultwhenleavingthefactoryis19°C.Itisusuallyadjustedto1°Cabovethetemperaturethehomeisheatedto.

TheamountthefanboostsisadjustableviatheHYtrimmer(shownindiagram)theincreaseisadjustablebetween-50%and50%ofthetricklespeed.FOR EXAMPLE:The trickle is set at 29l/s, HY trimmer is in the default position (+20%).When triggered the boostwill be29+5.8=34.8l/s.

SummerStandbyModeThesummershutdownfunctionlimitsthechanceofthehouseoverheatingwhentemperaturesintheloftreachalevelthatisuncomfortable.Theunitwillessentiallyswitchoffwhenthelofttemperaturereachesa“Standby”triggertemperaturetosaveenergyandpreventundesirablewarmairbeingintroducedunnecessarilyintothehome.Somecustomerswishtohavetheirunitoperatingallyearrounde.g.forRadonGascontrolorpollenfiltrationduringsummer.That’swhyanadjustabletriggertemperaturehasbeenincorporated.ThistemperaturesetpointisadjustableviatrimmerV2(showninthewiringdiagram)between20°and40°C,thedefaultwhenleavingthefactoryis26°C.

OverrideBoostModeTheunit’sautomaticcontrolscanbeoverriddentooperatetheunitatitsmaximumairflowbymeansofauserswitch.The override boost can be triggered via a dedicated external volt free switch connectingGND and S3 terminals (shown indiagram).Purgeoperationoverridesanyotherspeedsettings.Thisfunctioncanbeincorporatedatinstallationstageorlater.Theunitwillfunctionautomaticallywithorwithoutit.Topreventexcessivelywarmairbeingsuppliedtothehomeandtoprotectthecomponentsoftheunit,thepurgewillnotoperateabove40°C.

MAINTENANCEMakesurethemainssupplyoftheunitisdisconnectedbeforeperforminganymaintenance.Themaintenancemustbecarriedoutbyaqualifiedtechnicianandinaccordancewithlocalrulesandregulations.FiltersofthePIVunitrequirechangingaccordingtothefilterchangeperiod.WhenthefiltersaredirtylessairwillbesuppliedbythePIVunitandimpacttheeffectivenessoftheunit.Inareasofhighpollutione.g.besidemainroadsmoreregularreplacementmayberequired.FilterscanbesuppliedbyEltaFans,partcode-021-PIV-FILT.Filtersshouldbecheckedannuallyandcleanedwithavacuumcleanerifrequired.Ifadropinventilationratesarenoticedthiscouldalsobeanindicationthefiltersneedinspecting.Theexhaustdiffusershouldrequirelittlecleaning,ifrequiredthefrontfaciaiseasilyremovedandwashedundercoldwater.
