  • Over 20 years ago, we set out on a journey to transform the way people think about travel. We discovered a nichea gap, if you willbetween mainstream travel operators and independent backpackers. In the intervening years, we worked hard to ll that gap, and in the process developed a new way to help people experience the world they really came to seethe true, raw, honest and amazing world we all inhabit every day. Weve become the industry leader by seeing ourselves less as a travel company and more as a life-altering experience company. Thats who we are.

Weve written the introduction. Now its time to pen the next chapter.

One of our fundamental principles is to change the lives of anyone who comes into contact with our company. Our business model isnt about bottom-lines and turnover. Its about happiness and freedom. Heart matters.

Ive always believed that the secret to happiness is freedom, and the secret to freedom is courage. Now, the time has come for us to put our principles to the test and take every traveller, old and new, in a new direction. This year, we are taking a bold step with our identity. From here on out, we are G Adventuresa change thats both an evolutionary and revolutionary step into the future.

The things youve come to love havent changed. In every way that matters, were the same company today that we were yesterday. Were still available 24/7 to answer your questions. We still offer our innovative lifetime deposit. Our roster of unique trips is still incredible and wide-ranging. We still spend every minute of our waking hours dreaming up new, responsible and sustainable ways to show you the world as it was meant to be seen. Freedom is at the heart of everything we do. And freedom starts with G.

A brand is de ned by its culture, not by a corporate name or a logoand I have campaigned long and hard to establish an identity for this company that re ects our culture and approach to the world. We remain committed to providing the best customer service on the planet and pride ourselves in outpacing our competitors in every aspect of customer satisfaction. There is a reason why people choose to see the world with us that goes beyond merely offering great trips. We are a company devoted to building communities, promoting happiness and changing lives. We dont just bring you to a destination, weintroduce you and put you on a rst-name basis with it. We make travel tangible.

This is your planet. You really should come see it sometime.

  • HOW WE TRAVELWe see travel as a way to get up-close and personal with the planet and the people who live there, wherever there is. That said, up-close and personal doesnt necessarily have to mean sleeping on a mat on the floor of an isolated Buddhist temple. (Although, that would be pretty cool.) Expecting a little comfort from your trip shouldnt diminish the authenticity of the experience.

Freedom & independenceSkip the oversized tour bus in favour of a real adventure. Want to head off to explore that interesting market down the road or grab a table at that cozy caf we just passed? Sure thing. We include a regions must-see highlights on most of our trips, freeing up the rest of your time to explore according to your whims.

Keep it localSustainable travel is more than just a feel-good buzzword; its essential to the survival of the destinations we love. We seek out locally-owned and operated accommodations and restaurants to ensure that the money you spend on your trip helps build the communities that make your trip memorable and ensures theyll still be there when you want to come back.

Authentic everythingOur adventures put you right in the middle of your destination, giving you the chance to experience where you are in a way you simply cant replicate with a guidebook. Whether youre taking supper with a local family, exploring a community development project or overnighting in an historic property, we guarantee your adventure will be as unique, immersive and genuine as it can be.

Think smallWe travel in small groups. And when we say small, we really mean smalleach trip averages about ten travellers and can be as small as eight. Smaller groups add a cozier, more intimate feel to trips and put you into close contact with like-minded explorers from all over the globe.

Whether this is the first time youve picked up one of our brochures, or youre a well-travelled member of our extended family, allow us to welcome you to the greatest adventures on Earth. For your convenience, weve collected our entire line-up of Comfort Service Level trips in one volume.

THE SECRET INGREDIENT?FREEDOMThe greatest thing about the word adventure is that its so open-ended; you decide what it means to you. To us, adventure means active exploration, cultural immersion, embracing the unexpected, escaping the well-trod path and creating true, lifelong connections with the people and places we visit.

If you travel solely to check destinations off your been there, done that list, then were probably not your cup of tea. But if youre eager to get to the heart of a new place, see what makes it tick, sample its food, hear it speak in its own voice, watch it dance and truly understand it, then youll feel right at homewherever home happens to be that day. Tourists visit. Travellers explore. Were in the exploring business, and were looking for travellers like you.

Unrivalled choiceWhether youve got a particular destination in mind or just spun the globe and pointed, chances are good that weve got the perfect trip for you, regardless of age or interest. Were always on the lookout for new things to see and do, which is how weve come to offer the industrys widest variety of destinations and departure dates.

Unmatched value An unforgettable experience shouldnt cost you your rst born. Thats why we continually strive to offer the industrys best trips at the most competitive prices. Our commitment to top- ight travel ensures that each and every one of your travel dollars goes into providing the best experience possible.

Guaranteed departuresWe have the most guaranteed departures to choose from. When you book a guaranteed departure, thats it; youre going. Kick back, relax and start thinking about what to pack.

24/7 serviceAs a global adventure-travel company, we appreciate that questions can come up anywhere and at any time. Our commitment to exceptional customer service means that our CEOs are on-hand to assist you whenever you need it.

SatisfactionWe pride ourselves on our customer-satisfaction record. A staggering 99% of our travellers report satisfaction with their adventure. How do we pull that off? By listening to them. Its part of our commitment to leading with service.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

A G-PLUS Q&ASeeing the world differently involves taking a unique approach to travel. Curious about what sets our Comfort Service Level adventures apart? Lets pull back the curtain and reveal the science behind the magic.

Whats a typical trip like? Ah, theres no such thing as a typical trip; each departure is its own individual, self-contained world! We design each trip carefully to deliver the perfect blend of must-see and -do highlights, outside-the-lines magic and free time to explore on your own. And our rst-rate CEOs are free to adjust things on-the- y according to the needs of the group, providing the perfect balance of structure and freedom.

Who will I be travelling with? Our travellers are a diverse bunch of people who, like you, appreciate a soft landing at the end of a days exploringwere pretty sure Magellan stayed in his fair share of four-star hotels in his day. Our groups are composed of unique individuals who dont appreciate being herded about like a bunch of tourists and are eager to plunge into new cultures head- and heart- rst. Travel is a great bonding experience, and our travellers often tell us that the people they met on our tours have gone on to become lifelong friends.

Where dowe sleep? All sorts of incredible places! It really just depends on where you are. It could be a converted fort in India, an isolated lodge deep inside a national park, a dazzling Moroccan riad or on a ship in the Galpagos Islands. Our accommodation options give you the most authentic and comfortable experience possible while re ecting the local character and spirit of your surroundings.

What do we eat? The short answer? Whatevers on the menu! Experiencing the full avour of a new place is one of the best parts of travelling. We include some meals in the price of your trip, while others are left open for you to discover regional delicacies on your own. (Dont worry if you have no idea where you should go, CEOs always have suggestions close at hand. Just ask!) Most trips involve a good mix of experiences; a home-cooked feast one night, a table at a renowned restaurant the next and something delicious from a market stall when youre on the go.

What are you tour leaders like? Theyre not tour leaders, theyre CEOs (Chief Experience Of cers)! We enlist the most experienced, knowledgeable and talented people in the business to lead our trips. Their local insight and unique personal perspectives enrich every trip they lead. If youre interested in the local history, are curious about a tribal custom, need something translated or want to nd that once-in-a-lifetime experience thatll make your friends back home jealous, your CEO is at your side to help. Always.

Are your tours guaranteed to run? You bet. We ag some of our tours with an All Departures Guaranteed icon in our brochures and on the web. That tells you that as soon as a single person books, that departure is con rmed to run. Trips agged as Some Departures Guaranteed work the same way: If you book a speci c departure date and get con rmation from a G Adventures CEO that everything is cool, you can start making all the other necessary travel arrangements. Your departure is locked-in. No matter what happens. youre going.

Im travelling alone. Is that a problem? Nope. Travelling solo doesnt mean you have to travel alone. We believe that single travellers should have the same advantages as the rest of the group, which is why we dont charge a single supplement. Well pair you up with a roommate of the same sex to ensure you both get the same price. And if you do need your own space, you can book the My Own Room option, which gets you a single room all to yourself at a reasonable price.

How do we get around? Well, were pretty big on variety around here. How you get around depends on where youre going and your trip style. Where possible, well take private transport and airplanes to make sure you have the time to see and do everything. Some of the trips we send people on involve tuk-tuks, rickshaws and even camels! (For more information on trip styles, consult our handy foldout on the back cover of this brochure.)

Can I customize my itinerary? For sure! Weve added a few new add-ons this year that supplement speci c trips with extra activities like cooking lessons or whitewater rafting. Watch for the special Add to Your Experience tag on select trips throughout the brochure.

Can you help me pack? Ha! No, but we can supervise! In all seriousness, though, well send you a helpful packing list for your chosen destination once youve booked your trip. Our advice? Leave the Hawaiian shirts at home. They dont look good on anyone!

    Still have questions?We have answers.

If youve got a question we havent answered here, get in touch with a CEO or contact your local travel agent.

    WHAT CAN YOU DO?

    ABOUT USFounded in 2003 by G Adventures, Planeterra is a non-pro t

organization that helps empower local people to develop their

communities, conserve their environment, and create humane

and supportive systems for their endeavors. The organization

supports a steady cycle of giving and investment, via our

global network of travel industry partners, in the social and

environmental needs of people and places in the destinations

    we serve worldwide.

Planeterra reaches out to travellers around the world to give

funds for investment in sustainable development that focus

on specifi c needs in destinations around the world. The

following four funds have been established to help travellers

invest in ways that route funds to the areas of greatest need.

    WHAT WE SUPPORT

Equitable solutions to human needs in tourism hubs

where travellers gather and stay in hotels, use local

services, and prepare for their journeys. Conservation

of ecosystems where travel impacts are increasing and

funds are lagging for conserving the beautiful beaches,

coral reefs, rain forests, wild rivers, high mountains, and

deserts upon which the travel community depends.

    SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL

Improvement to the management of iconic

destinations, which lack basic planning and

infrastructure and urgently need systems for ensuring

important historic monuments and human heritage will

be supported and conserved in the long-term.

    DESTINATION PRESERVATION

    Entrepreneurial community small business

development where the travel economy brings

growing opportunities to villages and local vendors

    who supply our travel partners.

    SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Emergency response to climate related and natural

disasters in travel destinations where our travel

partners can give effectively to help the area recover.

    EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE

EXPLORE A NEW WAY TO GIVE BACK.

project in Perus Sacred Valley, empowers local

women by helping them support their families
