3 August 2007• Reports being received by several intelligence and police

agencies in the Pacific rim and East Asia area mention unconfirmed accounts of suspicious activity by a previously unheard of group calling itself “Free Asia” with possible links to North Korea, including some financial help.

10 August 2007

1400• The hourly news reports a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius

as a heat wave lingers over Japan.

1403• The LPG tanker “Quick Delivery” arriving from Dubai suffers

two huge explosions within a minute of each other while navigating a narrow channel on its way to Yokohama to discharge its cargo.

• At the time of the blast the ship is less than 800 meters from a large refinery and several large petroleum tanks.

1408• The blasts have apparently destroyed communications

gear on the ship, and there is no word from the captain or crew.

1411• Eye witnesses report the ship ablaze and several crew

members leaping from the ship into the inferno surrounding the area.

1415• Eye witness reports claim that the ship had been attacked

by two “rubber boats,” which had two crews.• The boats crashed into the side of the ship detonating a

huge explosion.• One unconfirmed eyewitness account reported that the

ship had been hit by a small aircraft that crashed into the ship’s bridge.

• Rescue fire equipment have arrived but are making little headway in containing the fire.

• Experts are cautioning that a second even larger explosion can be anticipated and are urging caution to the rescuers.

• The ship is slowly drifting toward the oil storage tanks and refineries, which are not too far removed from a large housing complex on shore.

1445

• Two callers, one in Seoul and one in Tokyo, called local TV stations stating that they represented the “Free Asia” movement and claimed responsibility for the ship attack.

• They promise to follow up “immediately” with similar attacks in Tokyo to put an end to neo-imperialism once and for all, and bring justice to the people of Asia and the Pacific.

• The only threat made by the caller is that “no one will be safe until the U.S. pulls out of the region.”
