HB 7069 Impact

• Requires an independent verification of the psychometric validity of the FSA

• Must be completed before School Grades and Teacher Evaluations are released

• Required to be completed by September 1, 2015

• Professional Job Responsibilities (2%)

• Student Performance “VAM” (40% - 50%)

– 50% if a teacher has 3 years of VAM data (reading or mathematics)

– State will provide a combined 3-year score

Grade 3 FSA ELA/Math • Majority of students in Grade 3 • Assigned Grade 3 ELA/Reading/Math courses

FSA ELA/Math VAM • Assigned Grade 4-5 ELA/Reading/Math courses • 10+ students with Grade 4-5 ELA/Reading/Math scores

FSA Combined ELA/Math VAM (Non-FSA Instruction)
