I hope you feel better v soon. We are the business association of Beachwood Canyon and we want to be very clear on the following: 1. We absolutely oppose any PPDs on Beachwood Dr (or any streets) south of Ledgewood. Period. Our businesses and the livelihood of over 100 employees is at stake. The PPDs that are in effect in upper Beachwood Canyon were installed because the roads were too narrow to accommodate tourist traffic and thereby became a safety issue because emergency vehicles could not get up there - THIS IS NOT THE CASE ON BEACHWOOD DR SOUTH OF LEDGEWOOD. 2. We met with your office and residents on 10/16/15 with the understanding that we were opening a discussion with the residents; we said we are willing to compromise if a list of our concerns are met. We wrote a list of items we want in place BEFORE the PPDs are installed and delivered via email to your office. 3. Your office is putting the PPDs in place without any of our concerns being met so where's the balance in this? The businesses are shouldering 100% of the compromises and the residents have not compromised a single thing. We have received lip service only from your office and do not expect anything realistic to materialize from your promises. This lip service is evidenced by the street closures that happened without warning December 31 and January 1, effectively shuttering our businesses. Another thing that makes us crazy is that your office has continually ignored, marginalized or misquoted each and every piece of correspondence we have ever generated to you. So just to be perfectly clear, we will repeat our stance ad nauseam in all of our future correspondence, and it goes like this: Hollywoodland Business Association opposes anv and all PPDs in Beachwood Canvon that are south of Ledgewood Dr. We remain open to compromises when our list of concerns has been met and is firmly in place. Thank You Catherine for meeting with us last night. I hope you feel better v soon.

We are the business association of Beachwood Canyon and we want to be very clear on the following:

So just to be perfectly clear, we will repeat our stance ad nauseam in all of our future correspondence, and it goes like this:

Hollywoodland Business Association opposes anv and all PPDs in Beachwood Canvon that are south of Ledgewood Dr.

We remain open to compromises when our list of concerns has been met and is firmly in place.

Thank You for your time,

Patti Peck
