!!• Explain auction, bid, item, etc. !

• Students bid for correct sentences. The most correct sentences wins, if a draw the team

with most money left wins.!

• Each team starts with €10,000, start the bids at €500.!

• First they work in their teams and decide which are correct i.e. which they are bidding for.!

• Hold the auction, don’t say if they are right or wrong until the auction is finished.!

• Give the winning bidders their sentence (that you have cut up above)!

• When finished elicit reasons for why they are right or wrong. !

• Take back any sentences that are wrong.!

• Count each teams correct sentences and you have a winner!
