Ethernet (twisted pair) system technology for analogue CCTV cameras

Future-oriented installation of analogue CCTV camerasusing Ethernet cables instead of coaxial cables.

SANTEC Ethernet (twisted pair) system technology enables you to create amodern and future-oriented video surveillance system using CCTV cameras withEthernet cables (e.g. CAT5 cables) instead of coaxial cables. This technologyensures a forward-looking installation because - if converted to IP cameras at alater stage - the existing Ethernet cable can be used and thus costs can be saved.

Many of the analogue SANTEC CCTV cameras are equipped with a RJ-45 connectionfor an Ethernet cable (CAT5 cable). Using plug & play, a camera can easily be linkeddirectly to the network cable. The camera transmits the picture via the Ethernet cable.The SANTEC devices VEZ-4SYS (4-channels) or VEZ-16SYS (16-channels) receivethe pictures and forward them to the digital recorder. In addition, the receivers powerthe cameras, similar to a PoE system for IP technology. Telemetry data (RS-485) tocontrol speed domes* or to configure cameras can be transmitted, too.

The SANTEC cameras shown below are compatible with the Ethernet (twisted pair) system technology and can be connected via an Ethernetcable (CAT5). Simultaneous transmission of video data, power and telemetry is possible (plug compatible with RJ-45).
