Optimized All-in-One IntegrationNovelSat FUSION is the most versatile, efficient and powerful family of encoding, transmission and streaming solutions for TV broadcast over satellite and delivery to terrestrial networks. FUSION integrates video encoding and modulation into a single server and demodulation with transcoding into a 2nd receive-side server.

It supports Software-Defined Radio versions of all standard satellite waveforms, including DVB-S2, DVB-S2x, and NovelSat NS4™ - the industry’s most efficient transmission technology, offering up to 60% higher capacity than DVB-S2. In the same server, the solution

transcodes and transrates multi-stream channels using software versions of all encoding standards, including MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and HEVC.

By combining both NovelSat NS4 modulation and HEVC encoding in the same server, FUSION delivers up to 320% higher capacity (70% bandwidth savings) compared with DVB-S2/MPEG-4 solutions in current networks. Furthermore, with both the encoding and modulation software on the same platform, FUSION optimizes operation for up to 25% in additional savings. This takes the overall savings to an unprecedented level of 80% compared with competing solutions.

Network Element Flexibilitywide range of codecs. PCIe-based cards and software-based modules allow for easy scalability. It can support up to 32 HD programs per RF carrier, with up to 3 RF carriers per device. The transcoder on the receiver can also scale to deliver Adaptive Bit Rate multi-profile streams in addition to the normal linear-live streams for broadcast redistribution.

NovelSat FUSION is a highly scalable solution, with a selection of server capacities. In existing and new networks, FUSION can serve as an Encoder/Modulator, IRD, Transcoding/Transrating IRD and Statistical Multiplexer (StatMux). It supports all satellite and terrestrial transmission standards, as well as a
