Welcome to the Fusion Anthology.

You are holding a gateway.

This gateway will lead into a larger universe known as the Dominion. The Fusion

Anthology is the first taste on the tongue, like that first lick of ice cream on the first day of

Spring, of that universe. Now, back in the Nineties, there were a rash of universes created

for this medium. Universes that were supposed to be internally consistent, where one

concept blended and flowed into the next nearly seamlessly. And Fusion will.

But the Dominion doesn't follow the rules, so our stories don't either. The range of

experience and ideas coming from the Dominion are too vast and powerful to be contained

in the hobgoblins of consistency of a "set" universe. Some stories you might see on the

nightly news, while others will be too bizarre for the World Weekly News.

As your guide, let me welcome you to the Dominion. We have only one question for our

readers; "Are you loyal?" We are fans and believers in the types of stories that we read, so

we understand the loyalty that flows from a good story. We offer our loyalty to you, the

reader, and hope you will give it in return.

Within these pages, a journey will begin, end and begin again. A mysterious force will

touch the lives of the most varied group of individuals one is likely to meet. Please enjoy

the journey. Now, take that first step through the gateway.

Die Tiger is a round peg thrust inadvertently into a square hole.

Abducted from his home world in an embryonic state, he is encased in

the very womb of Mother Earth. While his home is slated for annihilation

by deep forces of the Universe, he incubates in our planet. Created to

provide savage entertainment to higher beings, his exposure to the

forces of this world's nature imbue strange new feelings and ideas into

the heart of a born killer. Now his savior's heart wars with his murderer's

soul. He will strive, lose and learn to find his own voice. Fortune isn'tprone to smile on Earth's adopted son. Only time will tell if he can

protect her; or if he'll even choose to do so.
