Mars Manufacturing is a specialist in vacuum metallising and injection moulding. Our product range includes funeral accessories and curtain hardware as well as bespoke work for key customers.

As innovators, we continuously investigate new materials, moulds and processes to achieve a better product more cost effectively creating products that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are also functional, and where necessary, load bearing.

Our range of funeral accessories includes coffin and casket fittings, e.g.: coffin and casket swing bars and handles and decorations. Our range of curtain hardware includes finials, brackets, pole joiners, round rods and rings and c-tracks.

We are relationship people and have retained many of our customers for long periods of time. We believe it’s our commitment to customer service, high quality products and ethical business practice that make us one of Africa’s leading manufacturers in this field.

This family business was founded in 1951 in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZuluNatal, South Africa. 2012 saw the company being split into two parts with the production and export aspects moving to Lesotho while the product development, national sales and administration remain in Pietermaritzburg. Both sites have dedicated management and staff.

Products were historically made of cast zinc or brass, but plastic is now the most prevalent material. The process of injection moulding and vacuum coating is the most cost effective way to make these and many other products that were traditionally made of metal.
