Keep It Up and raise money for UNICEF and you can help children like Marvin, 13, who lives on the streets in Nairobi, Kenya.

Marvin doesn’t go to school and he has to collect scrap metal from rubbish dumps to earn enough money to survive. He used to live with his grandmother, but their house was burnt down during violence after the elections.

Thanks to the support of UNICEF and a partner organisation, Marvin now goes to a drop-in centre in Dagoretti, in western Nairobi, where he can eat two free hot meals each day, shower and wash his clothes and play in a safe environment. He even has his own vegetable patch at the centre, where he learns how to grow food and eat healthily. Marvin really loves to learn new things and with the centre’s help, he hopes to be able to go back to school.

It is thanks to you that UNICEF can help children like Marvin. All children have the right to have food, clean water and shelter, go to school and be able to feel safe and play. You can help make this a reality.

Challenge yourself to do something different. Get sponsored for whatever you keep up to raise money for children.

Keep It Up forms part of Soccer Aid 2012, a one-off football match between football legends, supporters and celebrities to raise money for UNICEF to save and change children's lives. The match is to be broadcasted live on ITV1 on 27 May. Discover who is playing at unicef.org.uk/socceraid

You can join the UNICEF team too, but you don’t need to be a football fan to take part. Instead, use your imagination to come up with ways that people can sponsor you to Keep It Up.

UNICEF relies entirely on donations to support our vital work for children. We don’t receive any money from the UN budget.

Find Soccer Aid and UNICEF UK on Facebook and Twitter.

Whatever you do, Keep It Up for Soccer Aid and help UNICEF save and change children's lives.
