In 1842, the Prince Alfred was a two-storey timber hotel surrounded by 40 acres of cotton fields.The original cold room still stands today, dating back to 1842. By 1866, the Booval Hotel was ahardwood timber building that contained 7 rooms with a detached kitchen, a piggery andgarden store-room, dairy, five staples, stockyard and milking bail.

In 1961In 1961, the historic Prince Alfred Hotel was destroyed by fire with the cold room the onlysurviving feature. It was rebuilt and opened in 1963. In 1987, the Johnson family purchased thehotel from Carlton and have remained passionately independent ever since.

The PA has quickly established itself as one of Ipswich’s best places to hold a function for thatspecial occasion. We have hosted a wide range of events that make us truly adaptable includingweddings, engagements, corporate functions, sit-down dinner parties, birthday celebrations andmore.

Our secluded fountain room offers an original vintage theme,cascading waterfall window, leather couches, mirrors, boutiquecocoffee tables, LCD TV, iPod music and air-conditioning. This amazingroom has access to both Chill’d Bar and our new craft beer barTap’d, so there is never a need to leave the party. The room also hassliding frosted doors to highten the exclusivity of your event.

TAP’D: ALTERNATE FUNCTION SPACETap’d is the newest addition to the Prince Alfred Hotel boasting 72 beer tapsshowcasing beers and ciders from all over Australia and the world. Tap’dalso features a specially designed menu to compliment and contrast itsextensive beer and cider menu.

Situated next to our eye-catching verticle green wall and beer tap waterfountainfountain, this dining space has a sense of privacy and exclusivity withvertical timber surroundings and unique drop down lighting.

This dining space is also closely situated to our kid’s playroom which includes new and vintage arcade machines, books, claw machines and TV to keep the little ones entertained.

The seating and furniture in Tap’d’s function space can be rearranged to suit your function. The furniture that are used in the space include wooden high-bar tables, low-seated white marble tables, comfy couches and our unique barrel booth seating.

Terms AND ConditionsTentative Bookings• Tentative bookings can be held for a period of 7 days.• Once this time period has lapsed we will endeavour to contact you, but if unsuccessful we are under no obligation to hold the booking.

Booking Confirmation• Each function booked at The PA is confirmed only when a Booking Agreement (attached) and a room hire is paid in full.• This room hire must be paid at least 7 days prior to the function date.• In the event th• In the event that the room hire is not paid before this time, The PA has the right to terminate function plans.• Payment of the function is to be made in full at the conclusion of the Function unless organised with management prior.

Audio Visual• All AV requirements (eg. USB, laptop) must be confirmed and tested at the venue at least 48 hours prior to your function.• We cannot be held responsible in organising Audio Visual on the night of your function.

Room Hire• Room hire fee is $250 per function.•• This can be paid by credit card, company cheque or in person with cash or EFTPOS.• The room hire is not refundable if there is a cancellation but can be used to re-book an alternate date.

Security• Any functions over 60 people will require us to use an additional security guard at a one off charge of $75.• 18th, 19th, 20th & 21st birthday party functions will require a security guard presence at all times with a one off charge of $75.

Final Payments• Please note that the final balance owing on your function must be paid on the night of the function either by cash or credit card.• No outstanding balance can be paid a• No outstanding balance can be paid after your function has concluded.

Cancellation• In the event that the function is cancelled between 1–14 days prior to the date of the function the client forfeits the room hire already paid.

Prices• Prices in the function information package are correct at the time of printing and are subject to change.• All prices are inclusive of GST.

CCakage• A one off cackage fee of $10 will be applied to the final bill if a function brings their own cake. This fee covers cake storage, napkins, plates, spoons, cake knife usage and cleanup.

Dress Code• Here at the PA we simply ask that guests dress smart casual.• Any guest wearing unkempt, dirty, obscene or offensive clothing will be required to leave the premises.

Responsible Service of Alcohol• In acco• In accordance with the Liquor Act 1992, and the responsible service of alcohol, all guests deemed to be intoxicated will be refused service and may be asked to leave the premises. All guests must be over the age of 18 years old and hold a valid form of identification.

Responsibility• In accordance with the Liquor Act 1992, all minors (persons under the age of 18) must be accompanied and supervised by an appropriate adult or guardian at all times.• The PA does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of any patron’s property left on the premises prior to, during or after the conclusion of the function.•• The client is financially responsible for any damage to the venue or its surroundings caused by themselves, their guests or outside contractors. In the instance that damage occurs, all associated costs will be charged to the nominated credit card.

Prohibitions• No food or drink is to be permitted onto the premises unless authorised by management.• Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, and stapled to any surface of The PA.

Damage or Loss of Property• The client is responsible for any loss or damage to Hotel property caused by guests attending the Function. The Prince Alfred Hotel will not accept any not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any equipment, merchandise or personal effects left on the premises prior to, during or after the Function. A $100 cleaning levy will apply if the room is left in need of professional cleaning.• PRIOR TO AND AT THE END OF EACH FUNCTION AN INSPECTION OF THE FUNCTION AREA WILL TAKE PLACE, ANY DAMAGE TO THE AREA IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERSON WHO MADE THE BOOKING AND YOU WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY REPAIR COSTS.
