Almost40% of assisted livingresidents are livingwith some form ofdementia, includingAlzheimer’s disease.

Also, memory,reasoning and speedof processing arecognitive abilities thatare important foractivities of dailyliving, and there isevidence they declinewith age. Researchhas shown that olderadults who receivemental training showlong lastingimprovements inreasoning and speedof processing skills formany years.Throughout thisspecial week, and always, we willnourish the minds ofour residents andfocus on providingactivities that willhelp them attain thehighest functioningpossible.Happy Assisted LivingWeek!
