Islam is the third smallest

the Muslims have to follow;

Shanadah; sincerely reciting the

Muslim profession of faith, Salat;

performing ritual payers in the

proper way 5 times a day, Zakat;

paying an alms (or charity) tax to

befit the poor and the needy,

Sawm; fasting during the month of

Ramadan, Hajj; pilgrimage to

Mecca. Even though they have so

many rules to follow there are still

a lot of believers. It is the

youngest Monotheistic religion.

Hindu. There are about 1million believers in theUnited States. Most ofIndia is surrounded bywater. Hindu’s do yogato connect with god.Brahman is the main god

for Hindu. Brahmanmeans god in therelanguage. Men havefour stages that they gothrough: Stage one; theybecome a student andstudy from the Vedas,stage two; becomeshouseholder, holds thewisdom and power ofthe house (can beturned over to eldestson), stage three; aginghouseholder/Forest

Dweller, they leave theirfamily to be morecommitted to Brahman.For Women: stage one;she is a student andlearns the teachings ofBrahman, stage two; isthe householder and

complements herhusband’s duties, stagethree; Forest Dweller canleave with husband if shedesires. There are fourdifferent types of yogathat Hindus do to

connect with god: thereis Karma Yoga; path ofwork, Jnana Yoga: pathof knowledge, Rajayoga; path of physical &mental discipline, BhaktiYoga; path of love. Thereare many temples whereHindus go to worshiptheir gods. They alsomediate and go totemples to connect withgod. In the last week inAugust Hindus

SiddharthaGautama discovered that if youmeditate and pray a lot then you willreceive more in your surroundingsand you will have peace. TheBuddhist has no personal god andthat they do not center their lives ona personal relationship between godand humanity. The physical layoutthat is in China is that it is very wetand has many hills. The numbers ofpeople who follow this religion is375 million people who arefollowers of the Buddhism religion.The Buddhist believers lived inNepal when the religion first starts.The believers now live in many parts

of the world. In the Buddhistreligion, they have no personal god.The relationship between God andan individual is nothing since theydo not have a God, but therelationship between an individualand karma is a different story.
