Full-time Barn Manager Located only a few minutes outside Bloomington, IN, Crimson Stables, LLC. helps introduce children and adults to the world of horses. Boasting one of the largest indoor riding arenas in Indiana, we are searching for an exceptional, detail-orientated Barn Manager, who has a thumb for being organized and a self-starter. Job Description and Duties: The ideal candidate(s) should be able to work well leading a team, be eagerly willing to manage and assist with overall maintenance and barn chores, such as handling horses, record-keeping, feeding, watering, cleaning out stalls, turning out and bringing in horses, administering medications, dragging arenas, bush-hogging, etc. Responsibilities: Efficiently manage and assist with the day-to-day chores and overall maintenance of a year- round equine lesson and boarding facility Manage up to 10 employees in a professional atmosphere Develop and enforce feed and cleaning schedules Detailed record keeping for vet, farrier, massage therapist, etc. Attention to detail of each horse’s health and well-being Arrange and oversee vet visits, worming and shots Administer basic equine first aid knowledge as needed Keep inventory and assist with ordering of all barn supplies and feed Driving various farm equipment Position Requirements Professional experience with horses, preferably in a management position Some weekends and holidays are required Detail oriented, self-starter and solid leadership skills Excellent communication skills are a MUST! High School diploma or equivalent Tractor, manure spreader, bush-hog experience is a plus
