EPC works Unit – 1 & 2:

LoA has been issued to M/s. BHEL on 09.04.2010 for the supply & erection of BTG & auxiliaries, agreed BoPs & associated civil works at a cost of ₹ 6300 crores (includes US$ 159 million & Euro 244 million). Unit-1-Boiler Erection progress-Structural parts-12377 MT, Pressure parts-8583 MT, Non Pressure parts- 2675 MT, Rotating Machine-1645 MT Unit-2-Boiler Erection progress -Structural parts-11992 MT, Pressure

parts-8109MT Non Pressure parts -1237 MT, Rotating Machine-1473

ESP & Ducting: Erection is in progress.(9122 MT for Unit-1 & 9094 MT for Unit -2). Turbine: Unit-1- IP turbine roll check and bump check completed. LP1 turbine Front, Rear & side wall Erection completed. Condense-1 (Generator side) –Dome stiffening structure pre-assembly is

in progress. Shell internal fixing and welding is in progress

Condense-2 (H.P Turbine side)– Dome stiffening structure erection

completed & welding progress.

Turbine: Unit-2- I.P Outer casing & . I P inner casing positioned and

centering completed

Generator: Unit-1: Generator Stator Erected & Rotor insertion

completed. SOST Erection completed.

Switchyard: Towers and Equipment erection is in progress. GF and FF

Roof slab of control room completed. Road, Cable trench and fencing

work in progress.

LT and HT Switchgears – Unit-1 and Unit-2: Panel erection

completed. Cable tray erection works under progress.

RODM: Pipe rack/equipment foundation and treated water tank works

are in progress. Waste water tank works completed.

FOPH: LDO & HFO tanks erection are in progress.

CWPH& Channel: Gate erection is under progress. CW Channel works

is in progress. Structural frame works are in progress.

Ash Handling Plant:

RCC works are in progress. Fabrication of 80% of Bottom ash structure

completed .Erection work is in progress

Coal Handling Plant

Junction Tower works are in progress.

Stacker cum Re-claimer foundation work is in progress

Non EPC works:

Chimney: Chimney shell completed.1000 MT fabrication of flue can and

platform completed out of 2000 MT. Erection of platform & staircase

completed to an extent of 410 MT.

Induced Draft Cooling Towers: civil works are in progress

Plant water System:

Settling tank works are in progress

GMW: Laying of Raw water pipe line completed to a tune of 5.4 km out of 7.50 km .Jack well Shell concreting is in final stages Railway siding and Marshalling Yard works: Tenders are being finalised Coal: Ministry of Coal vides Notification dtd 03.07.2013 has allocated Deocha-Pachami Coal block in West Bengal for KPCL MoC has been addressed vide letter No. A1M1B3/918 dated 7.10.2013 for allocation of tapered linkage till the coal from the allotted coal block is materialized ( copy of the letter enclosed)
