/^t is my earnest prayer that God shall richly bless each of you who so faithfully pray for\ and support the work of teaching and preaching the Gospel here at the Southern tip of Africa./You wil.l sec chcuiycc in both adortc'es above. I am moving back to Hunting Towers to care] xor Timothy while Nancy is away. She is marrying a construction engineer, and they will beI on site at Empangeni near Durban till the end of the year. Our Forwarding Agents have notkJBoved, but the Post Office has given them a street address in place of the Rural Route.

Two new souls came to know the Lord at a meeting at Sir Lowry' s Pass one Sunday evening•^<»cently. Preparations are being made for their baptism. How good it is to know in theturmoil «ind uncertainty of our changing world that God's word still has its ancient power, and that the seed of the Gospel, when planted in honest hearts, still bears fruit for Hisglory.

Lily Solomon of Tiervlei had a lovely wedding 2 weeks ago. She was ill when I visited lastweek, but the Bible studies continue this week Lord willing, and we have already had somenew students, including her husband, at the lessons.

Tuesday lessons at ililchell's Plain from next week will be led by James Dunjua who hasfaithfully attended lessons for several years, and is well qualified to teach while I spendneeded time caring for Timothy and preparing typewritten lessons in Afrikaans. At my finallesson this week I brought a review of Hebrews 1-8, and we also saw COLUMBIA land by liveTV coverage via sattelite.

Last Wednesday at Bishop Lavis Township I brought a lesson at the home of Brother September. Here also there were new students, and we see good prospects for growth, though I shall onlybe going every second week during the next few months. 2 weeks ago it was my privilege tobring a short message at a 21st birthday celebration in the township, and the young man,Samuel, also invited me to speak at a Youth Rally there soon.

Last Monday I jogged for 3 hours over the mountains to Noordhoek beach; but then I stillhad to turn around and come back. That was the hard part. Sunday morning services atGuguletu continue, and last Lora's Day I preached on "THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST." The newbuilding at Mfuleni is nearing completion. It's just a tin shanty really, hut still a placeof worship and that's what counts. I am helping A1 Zimmerman to translate lessons on theMinistry into Afrikaans. Our Easter Meetings this year are scheduled for Worcester withmy lesson being on "THE RESURRECTION." May God's grace be with you always.

Dear Brethren: 28 MA\

I praise God for your kindness, your prayers, and your loyalsupport for the spread of thegospel ,.he^.r.fi-Jl.n Caps.. Town, South Africa., Our EASTER services in Worcester acrossmountains were well attended by more than 200 brethren from across the western Cape. At ameeting of church leaders problems were settled in a spirit of candour and Christian love.I spoke on "Life after the Resurrection." The Holy Spirit was moving powerfully as we laidour hands on a brother who appeared to be in the grip of an evil spirit, and 19 people cameforward amidst weeping and singing at the time or invitation.

ICity of CAPE TOWN from the slopes of TABLE MOUNTAINthe

m Lord willing there will be 6 baptisms ar Mfuleni this Lord's Day where the new building isnearing completion. There is a spirit of unity among the brethren now. While there hadbeen some disputing all now accept Brother Ntobi as their minister, and are working togetherin a harmony lacking for 3 years.

0 This week-end, Lord willing. Brother Zimmerman and I will be travelling about 250 miles e^stof Cape Town to the Knysna Lagoon for the dedication of a new building there, and forteaching and preaching. There is also a problem there with Brother Gonzana, who has beentrying to divide the brethren. Please pray that God's Spirit shall move to establish thechurch in a spirit of unity and love.

Since Nancy's remarriage I have been taking care of Timothy with house-keeping, sewing andcooking (I will not mention the flub I made on the sweet-potatoes), while Timmy has shown aflair for ironing that I didn't know he had. He is a prefect in school, sings in the choir, plays soccer, and came 4th in class, getting an A in mathematics.

• In the evenings I have been translating into AFRIKAANS lessons on: BIBLE SURVEY, THE LORD'SPRAYER, PROPHECIES, and THE MINISTRY, & studying THEOLOGY. I have been giving Midweeklessons on "THE LIFE OF CHRIST" at Bishop Lavis rownship where we have now spread out into4 different areas, and on the book of HEBREWS at Tiervlei.

• On Sundays I have been preaching in Guguletu, while Timothy has accompanied me to Sir Dowry'sPass and Macassar for afternoon services. Please continue to pray that the joyous news ofthe gospel may shine out as a lighthouse from the Cape into the darkness that is AFRICA.

PREACHING RALLY on "CHRISTIAN LJNITY" - E.

Rioting and stone-throwing broke out again in some areas here last week, so I did not goin to the Bishop Lavis township. The brethren said they feared for my safety on themotor-bike. However this Wednesday I went in again, and all was quiet as I brought alesson on the "Life of Christ."

I have been studying the New Testament with Timothy, but as he is now spending 3 weeksvacation with Nancy in MTUNZINI, NATAL I have recontinued a full schedule of le&sons. OnThursday I brought the final lesson on HEBREWS at Tiervlei. Brother Mylie brought hiswife to the lesson. Next week. Lord willing, we begin a new series of lessons on "JAMES'.'

On my return from KNYSNA I brought a lesson on "THE CHRISTIAN LIFE" to the new convertsat MFULENI in their recently completed building. 2 of the elders accompanied me lastweek to take communion to Brother Mtsiba who is suffering from bronchitis. He was sohappy to see us he said he felt like Peter on the mountain when he saw the Lord's glory.

At GUGLETU last Lord's Day morning I brought a message on "JESUS CHRIST - THE SAME YESTERDAYTODAY AND FOREVER*.' While in the afternoon I brought lessons on "HEBREWS" at BroadlandsFarm, Sir Lowry's Pass and at Macassar. By the way, if you are wondering where theseplaces are, I have included outline maps on the back; and if you're wondering how I makeit to all these places its really no problem. I leave Wynberg at about 10 AM Sunday on theHonda 400N, go through Wetton, turn left to the National Road and into GUGULETU at 10.30.By 11.30 I'm back in the saddle again whipping past the airport and weaving left throughthe trees to MFULENI. From noon until 2 I'm preaching and visiting there, and by 2.30 I'mheading along the National Road at about 5000 rpm towards Somerset West and Sir Lowry'sPass. At 3PM I am bringing a lesson at the home of Brother Albert at the Broadlands StudFarm. By 4.30 I'm having a late lunch at Macassar and at 5.30 its time for the service.

Brother Lufele has left the

Worcester congregation andZimmerman is now preaching there. Please pray for them.

Yours in His mighty name,

I greet you in the name of our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, and pray thathis blessings, mercy and peace will be with you. Thank you for theextra funds you sent for a car. If you continue I will have enough fora deposit early in the new year, Lord willing.

Four precious souls have been baptized at Mfuleni this past month, andthe brethren have resumed meetings at LWANDLE, The GUGULETU townshiphas a new shanty-type church building nearing completion, while theplans for a new building at WORCESTER have been approved and buildingshould start soon. Brother Lufele has been removed from the ministrythere because he has turned from the faith and gone over to the witchdoctors .

I aun doing supply preaching at Polo Road, Observatory while Jim Solomonis on furlough. My messages are on I AND II PETER, There was somebitterness between some of the women there, but we had a season ofprayer together, and the spirit of forgiveness prevailed. Praise God.

Preparations continue on my THEOLOGY lessons for next year. 74 pages inEnglish have been completed, and I am now translating these into theAfrikaans language. The HERMANUS congregation is experiencing someproblems, but there are also prospects for growth. Brother NTOBI hasinvited me to visit there next month.

Recent unrest in the townships with squatter problems caused the policeto stop me going into GUGULETU one Sunday, and I had to get a permit fromthe Bantu Administration Board before I could re-enter. After preachingat GUGULETU I travel on to MFULENI for a message or Communion meditation. Then I visit the sick or suffering, and go on to BROADLANDS for anafternoon lesson. After this I travel to MACASSAR for a late service.

During the week I alternate between TIERVLEI and BISHOP LAVIS TOWNSHIP,where we have been having Bible lessons in different homes.

Timmy had a birthday recently and Imade him a chocolate cake with a mix.I took him to George during the schoolvacation. He also went jogging withme this week. God bless you all

The new church building - GUGULETU

Carroll FulTord FWD,AGENT: Bryce Morgan6 Sraithers Rd. 1237 N. BrummittKenilworth, CP Chesterton, IN.7700 S. Africa 46304 U.S.A.

Christmas is a time when we celebrate the birth of Christ. What a joy it^was this month for the brethren at MFULENI to see 3 souls born into Christ. The new church building at GUGULETU is rapidly nearing completion now, andthe brefhrsrt have already met ther^—At^-TXSRVLET—I at tended—su^weddi-ng.,and had the privilege of bringing a message to all who attended; while atBISHOP LAVIS I have just concluded a series of lessons on the LIFE ofCHRIST.

It was at Bishop Lavis that I had a run~in with some hoodlums who weresmoking dagga (marijuana) and wielding pangas (long knives). I wasapproaching the house where we held Bible Study when I heard a commotionbehind me. One of 3 thugs had grabbed a young girl from the house and shehad hit him in the face. I ran towards them shouting, and the peoplefrom the house rushed out and tackled him as he drew a knife. The girlrushed past me and the thugs moved away as we watched from the door.

There are still problems at Worcester, and P^rother Lufele who has becomeinvolved with witch-doctors and has been dismissed as minister is stilltrying to disrupt the services. Matters became so bad last week thatthe police had to be called in to take him away. Please pray for this.

_congroriai: 1nn^—Many have become so discouraged that they are just stayingaway.

This Lord's Day (20th) I travelled to Mfuleni where I brought the morningmessage on THE GIFTS OF THE WISE MEN. At Broadlands we studied 1 John 3,and later in the afternoon I brought a Bible Lesson at Macassar. I thenpreached at the evening service in Polo Road, Observatory, and went on tovisit mv aunt who is suffering from cataracts. T urged her to keep ontrusting in the Lord day by day.

I am deeply grateful to all who are contributing to my car fund, especiallythe Marbachs of Tinley Park (^800.00) and the Wanatah congregation (^155.00)

May God be with you atthis season, and

throughout the year.
