Eligibility CriteriaTo apply for the Fujitsu Scholarship, you must meet the qualifications for both Fujitsu Scholarship and EWKLP as follows.
A bachelor's degree in any disciplineGrade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scaleA minimum TOEFL score of 577/233/90(paper/computer/Internet),TOEIC score of 750, or IELTS overall band test result of 6.5 or higher from tests taken between December 2009 and November 2011A minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience (five years preferred) at the time of applicationApplicants must be a resident of the state of Hawaii, U.S.A., or a citizen of one of the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.

Ever since its establishment in 1935, Fujitsu has made contributions to the development of social infrastructure with its innovative information and communications technologies. We have a long-term vision of achieving, through the increased use of ICT and computer science, a "Human Centric Intelligent Society" that is both secure and rewarding for people. By making full use of this environment, data can be accumulated from human knowledge and wisdom, from changes in behavioral patterns and local situations. By analyzing this data, we hope to identify newfound answers to existing social challenges. Take transportation, for example. We can acquire information on traffic congestion and road surface conditions using sensors embedded in cars and roads. By monitoring information on the way drivers operate their vehicles, we can relieve traffic congestion and prevent accidents.

Fujitsu Scholarship Program is consisted of the three-month East-West Knowledge Leaders Program offered by JAIMS in Hawaii, U.S.A., and a week-long Japan-Portion Program.
The EWKLP is intended to sharpen one's global business savvy, and build confidence for dealing with global business situations with a solid academic foundation complemented by a practice-based experiential learning environment. The curriculum will challenge you to integrate theory and practice, and will provide you with a broad foundation for innovative thinking. The program features a liberal arts component including lectures and field study experiences related to history, philosophy, culture, religion, and cultural anthropology.
The Fujitsu Scholarship Japan-Portion Program will provide the participants with unique learning opportunities they can only experience in Japan. Learning topics include:

A Former Fujitsu Scholar contributing to the community
Fujitsu Scholarship, a social contributionIn addition to the social contribution efforts through our business activities, to strengthen our CSR activities, Fujitsu established "Fujitsu Scholarship Program" to train the inspired businesspeople who contribute to their society with larger perspectives. Through the program, the scholarship recipients are exposed to the management frameworks in multi-cultural settings with highly motivated business professionals from Asia Pacific. After completion of the program, the scholarship recipients are expected to utilize the knowledge obtained through the program and increased global perspectives for the development of their societies. Since 1985 to date, more than 400 businesspeople have been awarded the Fujitsu scholarship.
Fujitsu Scholarship is a program aimed towards people who want to serve and contribute to the betterment of their communities. Former scholarship recipients have used the knowledge they obtained through this program to bring positive changes to their communities, affecting society as a whole.
Fujitsu Scholarship recipient, JAIMS alumnus, Dede Prabowo founded the Alam Aksara scholarship program in 2002 with Jim Wagner to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged Indonesian students. In Indonesian, Alam Aksara translates to “world of letters.” Prabowo recalled how his Fujitsu Scholarship took care of the majority of his educational program expenses. “Ever since I finished the program, it has been my dream to be able to provide opportunities to promising but disadvantaged students to pursue the
education that they deserve,” Prabowo said. “Throughout the years, I had been fortunate enough to receive many scholarships. These opened new doors for me and have brought me to where I am now. But not many people are as lucky. I see many promising students in Indonesia who do not have the chance to receive a proper education due to their family’s economic situation.”
