Yes; the KF series F and FE flanged valve has been tested using API-622 protocol and found to leak less than 100 ppm. Was every size tested? Sizes were tested in accordance with API-624 which defines the minimum tests required to qualify a valve “type”, the sizes and pressure classes tested qualified the entire range of the series F and FE floating flanged ball valve. Are any other valves certified? We are in the process of testing the KF series P3 and FA series trunnion mounted flanged ball valves, results are expected near the end of April. What about threaded valves, have they been tested? Product Management is currently considering testing threaded end valves as they are part of systems where monitoring of emissions is required. We are under a consent decree can you warrant your valves as part of our LDAR program? Our KF series F and FE flanged ball valves can be certified as low leaking valves based on their test results. Our engineers have experience working with customers under LDAR programs. We require testing to ISO 15848 can you do that? Our valves were tested to American Petroleum Institute, API, standards. Will you ever test to ISO 15848? We will be attempting to qualify the KF series P3 and FA, all sizes and pressure classes to ISO 15848 in 2014. Fugitive Emissions, is it known as anything else? The Oil and Gas industry is relatively new to measuring volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from valves, customers could use any of the below phrases all of which tie back to fugitive emissions.
