FTT announcement likely next month

The proposed European financial transaction tax (FTT) could be back on track after the 11participating nations met on Thursday (June 18) to discuss the plan.
The number
of political options open to member states taking part has been
reduced in an effort to speed up the process. The tax is now
likely to be fairly broad and with a low rate charged on shares
and derivatives.
