Description Fiberstars' FS2L illuminator is a compact,quiet light source for use with Fiberstars fiber optic lightingsystems. It uses a 7 1 watt quartz halogen lamp with 30000K

color temperature, is u.L. listed for dry location. It createsdramatic color changes with an optional 4 or 8 color wheel, ora single custom color can be ordered. The FS2L normallyaccommodates 300 or 400 fibers but for certain end-emitting

applications like star ceilings, the FS2L can be fitted with aspecial 450 or 600 fiber ferrule. Each illuminator comes withan optical port and a lamp.

Application The FS2L illuminator was designed specifi­cally for use in display cases, point-of-purchase displays orsmall side-emitting applications. It also works well for end-litsigns by illuminating fiber optic cable that creates or high­lights letters or designs with multiple points of light.

Performance Actual light output levels vary with thelength and type of fiber optic cable specified. For independenttest lab results, please refer to the performance specificationsheets.

Mounting The FS2L illuminator should be placed on ahorizontal surface or vertically on a wall. The mountinglocation should allow a minimum 24" clearance for adequateventilation and easy access for relamping. Refer to theinstallation manual for detailed instructions.

Options Color changes in the illuminated fiber optic cableoccur with either a l.O RPM or 3.6 RPM motorized dichroic

color wheel. For continuous color change, the 4 color wheelrotates at 15 or 4 seconds per color and the 8 color wheelrotates at 7 or 2 seconds per color, respectively. The sparklewheel adds a luminous, sparkling effect for end-emittingapplications. The FS2L can be ordered as dimmable ready towork with an standard low voltage dimmer.

Description The FS7L illuminator is Fiberstars' interior 183watt quartz halogen illuminator. Color wheels of 4 or 8 colorscreate dramatic effects with continuously changing colors orremaining at one color position, as desired. Sparkle anddimming wheels provide additional special effects. The FS7Lnormally accommodates 300 or 400 fibers but for certain end­emitting applications like star ceilings, the FS7L can be fittedwith a special 450 or 600 fiber ferrule. Each illuminator comeswith an optical port and a lamp.

Application The FS7L illuminator produces incandescentillumination for interior applications. Where short cycle duty,dimming or frequent switching are desired, the FS7L illumina­tor can be used for special effects and residential lightingapplications.
