FS Kay 5-String Banjo Presets List

0: 0 Standard

➢ Standard mapping across keyboard (D2-C6).

➢ Two velocity levels.

➢ Pitch bend is 2 semitones.

This is the standard banjo sample. It is a solid back banjo which gives it a nice resonance to it. This preset is suitable for any banjo parts. Mod wheel 1 controls the release length. Most of the time it sounds better with the release up to let the notes ring (they do not ring very long on a banjo anyway but it helps get the resonant sound). You can use the sustain pedal to do that or use the next preset instead.

0: 1 Standard \s

The same as the last preset but with a long release time (to sustain the samples when played).

0: 2 Standard \rThe same as the preset 0: 1 but with reverb. The reverb has to be enabled on the soundfont player.

0: 2 Standard \s\r

The same as the preset 0: 1 but with a long release time (to sustain the samples when played) and reverb. The reverb has to be enabled on the soundfont player.
