INTRODUCTION
Enterprise mobility is a vital feature when deploying Unified Communications in your
organization. To enable colleagues and business counterparts to stay connected
while they are away from their desk or roaming in on the other side of the world,
Deltapath is pleased to present the frSIP® Mobile that is fully compatible with Apple®
iPhone®, iPad®, iPod® Touch, and also any Andriod devices with version 4.0 or above.
With the frSIP® Mobile installed, users on any frSIP® UC Core running 2.9.3 or above can
pair their office extension on their mobile devices. Once paired, their mobile will
simultaneously ring with the office desk phone whenever they are connected on
mobile data network or Wifi. The users can also make VoIP and PSTN calls, configure
call-forwarding rules, and access the corporate directories. If you would like to enjoy
video communications on frSIP Mobile, please ensure your frSIP Core is running version
3.1.1 or above. Adopting frSIP® Mobile in your organization also reduces your
corporate mobile roaming fees and voice usage.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS
Making a video call
Make a video call from frSIP® Mobile to any video
conferencing device (mobile-to-mobile,
mobile-to-desktop, mobile-to-conferencing-unit) that
is connected to the frSIP® UC Core (supported by
frSIP® UC Core version 2.9.3).
Keep-In-Touch call handing
design
ONE-Number+ Access: Call anyone and answer calls
from anybody using your desktop phone number+
even you are not at your desk. frSIP® Mobile user
can simply dial the “extension number” as if the user
is making an intercom call from the office desktop
phone.
Access to voicemail
Voicemail can be accessed not only from your
desktop phone, frSIP® Switchboard, you can also
press the Voicemail button to listen to all voice
messages from your frSIP® Mobile.

SUPPORTED VPN CLIENT
If your company’s frSIP® UC Core is only accessible within the company network, then
you will need to turn on the VPN Client to be able to use frSIP® Mobile while you are on
mobile data network or outside the company Wifi network. Deltapath frSIP® Mobile is
fully tested to work on Juniper® Junos® Pulse VPN Client 3.0.3 and Aruba Virtual Intranet
Access™ (VIA) Client from Aruba Networks. These two VPN clients were carefully
selected that satisfied in integrated access, security, collaboration, and acceleration
services, solution for virtually any mobile or non-mobile.
Setup Junos® Pulse or Aruba VIA VPN Client on Apple® iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch or
Android devices
Follow the following steps to initiate frSIP® Mobile with Junos® Pulse or
Aruba Networks VIA VPN Client:
1. Download the VPN Client from App Store or
Google Play Store and launch it on your
smartphone device.
2. Configure the VPN settings - Contact your
system administrator for VPN connection
settings.
3. Press the “CONNECT” button. Access the
STATUS page to ensure your VPN is
connected.
4. Launch frSIP® Mobile and begin the sign in
process.

1. Install frSIP® Mobile and launch it on the smartphone.
2. Sign-in with the following credentials:

NAVIGATING THROUGH frSIP® Mobile
Tab Description Icon
History Shows all audio and video dial-in and calls placed,
received, and missed on your frSIP® Mobile while it is
turned on or in background mode.
Keypad This is the main screen that allows you to dial out and
check voicemail.
Contact Allows you to access your personal contacts on your
mobile phone book as well as your business contacts
stored on your Polycom IP phone or
frSIP® Switchboard.
Status Allows you to manage your presence and configure
your office telephone line’s behaviour.
About Shows your account information and to Sign Out of the
app.

MAKE AN OUTGOING CALL Once you are signed in, you will automatically be diverted to the Keypad, which is also your “Home” screen.
Here you can dial any number you wish to call as if you are in the office. All calls placed here will show your office caller ID. Simply tap on the number you wish to call and press

ANSWER AN INCOMING CALL Once signed in, your mobile device is then paired with your office extension. Whenever someone calls your office extension, your mobile device will also ring. The frSIP® Mobile supports background mode where it will continue to operate while you put the app in the background or after you have locked the screen (requires 5.0.1 or above for iOS).
Whenever there is an incoming call while frSIP® Mobile is activated and it’s opened on the screen, then a pop up from the bottom will be displayed (figure on the left) and your phone will continuously ring. You can either press to answer the call or pressing to reject the call. If your mobile device is the only device online (e.g. your desk phone and other devices associated with your extension are not connected) then the caller will be immediately diverted to the next step configured in your current status. (Refer to “Status” for more information on setting up your extension forwarding rules.) If you placed the frSIP® Mobile in background mode (i.e. frSIP®
Mobile is not on your active screen), frSIP Mobile will continue to operate and notify you when there is an incoming call. For iOS devices, while the frSIP® Mobile is on the background, the screen is turned on, and there is an incoming call, you will see a notification on top of the screen (see figure on the right) and hear a constant ring tone. To answer the call, simply press on the notification bar.

If the screen is locked / switched off, there will be an alert showing on the locked screen when there is an incoming call. To answer the call, simply “Slide To Answer”. Note that if you have password locked your iOS device, you will be prompt to unlock your device with your password after you slid the button. You may set silent mode by flipping the silent switch to RED on the iPhone. To adjust the ring volume, simply press ‘+’ while in the home screen.

CALL IN PROGRESS
During a phone call, you will be able to perform the following functions:
Video
It toggles video setting. This is to enable/disable video mode.
Mute
It mutes your microphone and the other side will hear silence. The opposite setting can also be achieved.
Speaker
You can toggle between your handset/earphone and the speaker. iPad will always be on Speaker mode.
Hold
It puts the current call on hold. The other side will hear music.
Keypad
Keypad for you to enter DTMF digits while in a call. This will be useful in accessing voicemail centre, conference bridge, or any IVR such as phone banking.

TOGGLE BETWEEN CALLS You can have a maximum of 3 calls on hold. The progress list will show all the calls on
hold and in progress.
Calls that are placed on hold will show (Paused). The
call that you are talking on will show (In Progress). If
you tap the Paused button of the held call frSIP®
Mobile will automatically place the current call on
hold.
CALL TRANSFER
To transfer a call on frSIP® mobile, tap the button to hold the call and press
(transfer) button. Enter the destination number you want to transfer your call to and press to finish the transfer. Press to cancel the transfer and resume the call with the original party. Press to transfer the other party to your own voicemail box.

ACCESSING TO THE CONTACTS
Within frSIP® Mobile, you may access and
place a call from your personal contacts
stored on your mobile device as well as
your business contacts stored on the frSIP®
phone book or your Polycom phone at the
office. In addition, you can add new
contact or modify personal phone book
contact and synchronizes it to frSIP®
corporate phonebook or your Polycom
phone.
Press Contacts from the main menu and
you will see the screen on the left. Here
you can choose to view your contacts on
your mobile device or contacts stored on
frSIP® corporate phonebook / Polycom
Phone.
Upon pressing phone contacts, your mobile contact list will then be displayed. To
view or place a call from the contact, simply tap on the name then the number.

Selecting frSIP Contacts to view Personal,
Departmental, and Site Phonebook as shown on
Switchboard. Simply tap on the name to view and tap
on the number to call.
Once you tap on a
name, the full contact details will be
displayed. Tap on the number to call.
If you would like to add a new contact to your
personal phone book stored on frSIP® / Polycom
Phone, press (Add Contact) on frSIP® contact
page. Fill in the details (at least first name or last name
and one number), press the SAVE button and it will be
automatically synchronize with frSIP®. To display the
contact on Polycom contact directory, you are
required to reboot the Polycom phone to update the
contact.

MANAGING YOUR STATUS / FORWARDING
There will be times you want to change your office extension’s routing rules. For
example, you are on the way to the boarding gate for your next flight and you wish to
forward all your calls to your assistant. Or, you may be roaming in a foreign country
and you wish to have your frSIP® Mobile for 20 seconds before trying to ring your GSM
mobile. Then, the call is finally sent to voicemail if there is no answer. At different times,
you can have different routing behaviors for your office extensions.
By tapping at the tool bar at the
bottom, current settings of timeslots with statuses
would be shown. From this screen you will see
your extension routing status today according to
different time schedule.
For Android version, press Setting/Today’s.
To manage your time based routing, you are
require to define time slot and status on the frSIP
mobile (This is also available on frSIP®
switchboard. For more information on how to
define your routing on frSIP® switchboard, please
refer to frSIP® User Features Guide).
Status allows you to define a step or a series of
steps to route any incoming call you receive, while time slot is for matching different
status to define set of routing at different time. Here you will learn how to manage your
time based routing by setting defining time slot and status:

To toggle between different statues
(assign a timeslot with a status), tap Edit,
long press the timeslot to be assigned a
status and select the status for it.
To add a timeslot, tap Add and provide the details. To edit a timeslot, tap it to modify
the details.
Under Status you will be able to define
different set of routing behavior(s). To
add a status, simply tap Add; to view or
modify a status currently on your list,
simply tap the status name.

Each status contains a series of steps, which
is the call action when you receive a call
on your extension. You can add an
additional step by tapping the button
(Add Step).
To view or modify a Step, tap on the step
number. To remove a step, tap on the
button (Remove Step) under steps, then
tap on another button (Remove Step)
besides the step to be removed. Press
Delete to confirm the removal.
Whenever you have to save current
settings, tap the button Back and Save.
Changes will be discarded if you tap
button Back and Discard.
To completely remove this status, tap on
Once you tap on a step or add a step,
select Ring Me or Voice Mail to enable
forwarding to voice mail with choice of
desired greeting.
For Ring Me settings, please refer to the
next page.

Screening
Call screen is a virtual secretary that records the
caller’s name, put him/her on hold, and ring the
user. Upon the user answering the call, the
virtual secretary will playback the caller’s name.
The user will have the option to press 1 to
accept or press 2 to reject the call. If the user
accepts the call, the caller and the user will be
connected immediately. If the user rejects, the
call will be sent to the next step configured in
this status.

Other
Numbers
You may enter any other numbers you wish to
ring. This can be internal extensions as well as a
PSTN numbers
Any valid numbers that
you are able to dial. Enter
the numbers in the exact
way you would dial from
your desk phone. If you
want to simultaneously
ring multiple numbers, add
a comma between the
numbers.

Other than using predefined time slot
status control, you may also use the
override feature to temporary change
your routing status. At the status page
press
Select the status as your temporary routing
and tap to change the Always to On if
you want to always override your time
scheduled status with this status. Tap to
change the status to Off to deactivate the
“always” override.
You may also define a Duration (hourly
based) to override your status by pressing
the +/- button. An estimated End Time will
be displayed and your extension routings
will be resumed back to your predefined
time based status automatically.

STATUS INFORMATION AND SIGNING OUT
For status information related to your frSIP Mobile, tap on the About button on the
toolbar at the bottom. You will see which server you are connected to and which
account you are using.
Status indicates whether your frSIP Mobile is
currently connected to the frSIP UC switch.
If you wish to sign out your account from
this iOS device, simply tap on Sign Out.
Once you sign out, you will no longer
receive calls until you Sign In again.
Shutting down backgrounded frSIP®
mobile on iOS devices
If you just want to stop receiving calls
coming to your office extension, you can
simply terminate frSIP Mobile from the
background task. To do this, double tap
the Home Button to bring up the multitask
view. (See Figure Below)
You will see a list of apps in background on
the bottom task bar. Scroll through the bar
and hold your finger on the frSIP Mobile
icon until a red delete icon shows up.
Then lift your finger and tap on the red icon on the left hand corner of frSIP Mobile. The
app will then be terminated. You will no longer receive any calls.
