OVERVIEW

The Top Drive Cementing Head is designed specifically for cementing liners when a top drive system is employed on the drilling rig. The manifold consists of a swivel, plug drop assembly, ball drop assembly, plug indicator sub and a fluid bypass manifold.

The Cementing Head permits cement and displacing fluids to be pumped without passing through the rig's top drive assembly, eliminating potential problems with cement contaminating critical components in the top drive.

The TDCH is suitable for running and cementing all types of liner hangers, including rotating liner hangers.

FEATURES

• Heavy Duty Swivel equipped with needle roller bearing.

• Plated mandrel for extended bearing and seal life.

• Enhanced material for Ball valve, prevents pitting during circulation of high solid content fluids.

• Integral, Plug and Ball Dropping Sub.

• Circulation fluid is diverted below the Drill Pipe dart thru and external manifold.

• Rated to 10,000 psi.

• Plug Indicator sub, for visual confirmation of Drill Pipe Dart release.

• Shielded Indicator sub to prevent, un-intentional indication.

• Cam Arrangement for opening Ball valve, prevents mis-alignment of bores.

• High Torque transmission capabilities, limited only by the drill-pipe.

• No Break-Out of cementing lines required for cementing.
