September 1 is the beginning of the new church year and I am excited about what God has in store for Front Street. On Sunday, August 25, we celebrated 102 years of faithful ministry at Front Street. We celebrated the godly men and women who have obediently followed the leadership of the Holy Spirit and have led our church to be what it is today. My prayer is that we charge into this new year remembering our rich heritage while committing to obey the vision and direction of the Lord at all cost. Update from the Family Business Meeting At the Annual Family Business Meeting, the church voted to approve the Empowering the Church document as well as electing the following men to serve as deacons: Brent Austin, Chuck Courier, Pat Ferron, Gary Holland and James Mullis. Please be in prayer for these men and our other deacons as they seek to continually address the needs of the church. There was also a recommendation from the Building and Grounds Committee to update our Fellowship Hall and Wedding Guidelines. I greatly appreciate everyone who worked so diligently to prepare for this meeting and the new year. Front Street is made up of some incredible people who work diligently to ensure that we are moving forward in the Gospel. Wednesday Evening Prayer As we begin this new year, I cannot emphasize enough the significance of prayer. On Wednesday evenings at 6:30, we will have a prayer gathering in the sanctuary. A church without prayer is a church without power. May we come together with one heart and one mind as we seek the face of the One True God. Dear Front Street Friends,

I want to thank each of you for the prayers and many cards I have received since

the death of my father, Howard Rhyne. Thank you Pastor Tim, Kathy, Julie and

all of you that came to the receiving and funeral, your presence meant a lot to me.

Front Street still holds a very special place in my heart. Thank you for caring and

reaching out to me and my family during this difficult time. Continue to remember

us in prayer as we face the days ahead. God bless each of you, Marilyn Kerley

Dear Church Family,

Words cannot express how much we appreciated the calls, the visits, the flowers

and the delicious meal provided for our family during the loss of our Mother. Her

passing is now Heaven’s gain. She loved all of you and is waiting for us in

Heaven. Our family is so appreciative of FSBC, its staff and all of the church

family. John & Beverly, Shirley & Barry, and Jerry

P.S. Thanks to the children for decorating the bags that contained the eating

utensils. God Bless You!

Dear Front Street Family,

Thank you so much for celebrating my 100th Birthday with me. The party was

lovely and I appreciate everything you do for me. God Bless You! Chloa Willis
