Sweet Sleepy Senior thinks their year has come to a close.

But there are some opportunities right under their nose.

Scholarships are still up for grabs, just take a look… There may be a few essays to write, but not an entire book.

So take the time to apply, you can't win if you don’t try-

Get some extra scholarships, then a new computer you can buy.

The year isn't over, there's so much fun to still be had-

And if you help them with paying for college your parents will be glad!

Seriously though...apply for scholarships. It's not painful-you can do it. The number of scholarships turned in by this class is lower than any other class that we have had, and that's not a good thing. Please remember that we live in a community that wants to give back to you. So please find the time to apply.

You can find more details about all these scholarships on family connec-tion. And...there will still be a few added as the year progresses. These are just the ones for March and April.

They can be found in family connection: connection.naviance.com/cphs login is your student id, password is stu, follwed by the last five digits of your SSN. After you log in, click on the colleges tab and then click on scholarship list. Each application can be found there.

TEXAS TORQUE ROBOTICS WINS LONE STAR CENTRAL REGIONAL, PREPARES FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

FIRST Robotics Team 1477 Texas Torque won big on March 17th at the FIRST Lone Star Central Regional in Houston. Texas Torque is a student-led robotics team based at TWCP, supported by mentors Scott Rip-petoe, Sherry Coats, Matt Davies, Karen Humes, Ryan Berg, and Ray Wert. In this year’s “Power Up" challenge, teams compete to gain points by moving power cubes onto scales and switches, then climbing and hanging on the scale at the end of the match to defeat the “boss.” These thrilling competitions combine the application of science and technology with the intense energy of a sporting event, giving all participating students the option to turn “pro.” Texas Torque’s alliance partners were Jersey Voltage from Jer-sey Village and Howdy Bots from Austin. In addition to win-ning the competition, Texas Torque took home the acclaimed Engineering Inspiration Award and the UL Safety Award; on top of this, Jackson Schilling (a TWCP junior) became a Dean’s List Finalist. The team has advanced to compete in the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship, to be held April 18th-21st at the George R. Brown Convention Center and Minute Maid Park in Houston. This event is free and open to the public. Texas Torque was part of the alliance that won the 2013 World Championship. Come cheer on Texas Torque
