From The Principal
Welcome back everyone to term 4. I can’t believe we are
here already. Thank goodness the sun is starting to come out
and give us some relief from what has been a very long and
difficult winter. Daylight savings always helps too. At the end
of last term in assembly I talked about how many days in late
term 3 where I felt proud, where I saw great examples of the
Bayview way, of our school spirit. I saw that students overall
have really tried to get back in the game and get engaged and
focussed once again. I received some lovely emails from
members of the community congratulating us on the
behaviour of our students when out and about. This is
exactly what I want to see and read about our school. Our
Footy Colours and Hotdog day run by the Prefects was a
lovely end to the term and I thank them for taking that
opportunity to do something positive for everyone.
In term 4 we look forward to a Performing Arts Production
in week 4, the Swimming Carnival, an Outdoor Ed camp,
grade based rewards and activity days, whole school
lunchtime events, special sports events, more excursions,
and of course our end of year celebration events and
assemblies, which are always fun, although there will be some
changes to some events due to ongoing COVID precautions
and restrictions. We will do what we can to ensure that all
our students have access to our fantastic events and that
they are as normal as possible, but there may be some
restrictions for adults.
Our next School Association Meeting will be Wednesday 28
October from 4-5pm and I encourage you to attend if you
are interested in lending a hand and keeping up with what we
are working on.
I would like to take this opportunity also to express our
condolences to the families of Ashton Jones and Tanya
Tygrys, who both sadly passed away this week. We are very
sorry for your loss.
