Learn, Laugh, Lead Consistent Excellence Page 1 of 4 From the Desk of Mr. Ridge March 24, 2014 Howdy Wranglers, Last week, I thanked Kelly Bonanno and Dina Langhorne for their leadership with Green Ribbon Week. I would like to add another name to the list, Charity Brockman, who also contributed to the event and brought our “Rainbow of Fruits and Vegetables” to life on Friday. Next, I thank Michelle Unrot for her leadership in this year’s Walk to School event. This event was a great opportunity to focus on healthy living during a week dedicated to doing so, Green Ribbon Week. I also send out thanks to the Thousand Oaks Police Department for their ongoing support and presence here during this event. I am already excited for this week’s upcoming International Night on Friday evening. The event kicks off at 5 PM and lasts until 8 PM. Last year was the first year of this event for Lang Ranch, and it was a HUGE success! In fact, the PTA decided to hold the event once again this year, making it now our “Second Annual International Night”. The evening promises to be fun and educational, with visitors receiving a passport upon entry that can be taken from country to country while traveling the world at Lang Ranch. We will have twenty-three nations represented this year, and each nation will have its own spotlight focus. Parent representatives from each of those nations will be presenting a cultural display of their chosen country. Many countries will also have a tasty treat for visitors to sample while visiting. In addition, the evening will feature cultural performances on stage beginning at 7 PM. Last year, this event was gave us a “full house”. No doubt, the event will be well attended again this year, so come early if you want to be able to visit all 23 nations before the performances begin! I would like to thank in advance our PTA Co-Presidents, Vaishali Bhargava and Lori Huemme, for their leadership with International Night. Their hard work, dedication and spirit exemplifies the outstanding character of our fine Lang Ranch community. Happy Trails! Mr. Ridge

Howdy Wranglers,

Last week, I thanked Kelly Bonanno and Dina Langhorne for their leadership with Green Ribbon Week.

In fact, the PTA decided to hold the event once again this year, making it now our “Second Annual International Night”.
